Rating: Summary: Ho, steady! Review: Velocity is very similar to speed except that it involves a direction. Speed is distance divided by time. Have you ever tried to imagine something "divided by time"? I guess that's something only a physicist can do. ;-)
To estimate the velocity of Velocity I had to assume that it's moving by constant speed in a straight direction. But this is gay fiction, isn't it?
Maybe as a straight reader I can do it by adding the distances between the racing places in the order of the F1-schedule: Melbourne - Interlagos - Long Beach - San Marino - Barcelona - Monaco - Montreal - Nürburgring - Magny-Cours - Silverstone - Spa - A-1 (Austria) - Hockenheimring - Budapest - Monza - Suzuka. It's about 60 000 kilometers to travel. Then I divided it by the average total reading time (except breaks) of about six hours.
So finally it leads to a velocity of about 10 000 km/h. Not enough to leave the planet, but at least ten times sonic velocity.
Okay, something about the story:
Matt, the actor, and Ricky, the driver - both on their way to becoming quite successful in their jobs. There are only a few people who know about their sexual orientation. But that has to change. When Matt and Ricky become lovers they have to realize that they can't live together without telling the world. The
ways people react to this news are different.
Fortunately, they include some of the saner portion of straight people. So, for example, Ricky finds out that the woman who has a crush on him can accept the truth very easily.
This novel is encouraging all those guys thinking about how to tell IT.
Fiction? Think twice.
The story of R.T.'s previous novel King Of Hollywood truly happened in Munich recently. A celebrity called the "fashion csar" was killed by a hustler.
So, maybe someday we will see a Hollywood star telling us that
he's gay. Wouldn't that be a BEAUTYful thing?
Just wait and read.
