Summary: Let's discuss adjectives..........
Review: After reading some of the reviews, I figure I'm the rare bird that did not care all that much about this book. There was the beautiful doctor and the beautiful nurse, and the beautiful father and beautiful mother of the beautiful doctor. And, the kinda beautiful mother and kinda beautiful father of the beautiful nurse. Oh yeah, the beautiful doctor also had a beautiful brother, a beautiful house, a beautiful view, beautiful clothes and a beautiful car. Let's not forget the beautiful doctor's beautiful teddy bear, and the beautiful nurse's beautiful stuffed dog with the beautiful ribbon. And guess what...the beautiful doctor and the beautiful nurse just happened to resemble warrior princess and sidekick. I loved Xena and Gabby too, but am tired of every two main characters in every romance I've read lately looking like them. How about "Lucy and Ethel" lookalikes in the next book.

Review: Alix Stokes weaves a masterful tale of past and present. The main characters of Alex and Bryn capture your heart from the first paragraph. As you read, the emotions sweep up from the page to surround you. This is a beautiful love story and should not be missed.

Summary: Tugged At My Broken Heart Strings
Review: I am a pushover for a well written lesbian romance..and this story not only "tugged at my broken heart strings"...it reminded me that LOVE can be patient and at the same time very SEXY!! I had a difficult time putting this book down once I started reading...and have felt compelled on several occasions to re-read this touching/sexy story. If I'm not careful I will have to buy another copy because mine is looking a bit tattered!!! My only disappointment is that there have not been more books by this author.

Summary: A Good Read
Review: It took 4 days to read a book that sould have taken one. The same thing over and over and over. After each lengthy break, I kept reading hoping that there would be something to justify all the paper invested to print it. Same theme ad nauseam. Beautiful, beautiful, love, love, love, cry, cry, cry. Not worth the effort or the money.

Summary: Lex and Bryn are winners
Review: Let's face it -- we weren't all perfect children, or teenagers, but hopefully as adults we get better. Alix Stokes weaves a wonderful story of growing up in an imperfect world and finding the future in the past. This is a passionate, sweet story, with characters who moved about on a completely set stage. When I finished this book my reaction was, "Love couldn't have happened to two nicer people." I'll be looking for more from Alix Stokes and I'd be thrilled to see what she can do away from the Xena uber fiction formula.

Review: Mended Hearts is well written; it is such a compelling story. Alex and Bryn are characters who have come to life, thanks to Ms Stokes. Grab a cup of hot chocolate and a quilt; curl up on the sofa in front of a fireplace and be prepared to be charmed.

Summary: A Fabulous Book!!!!!
Review: This is a wonderful book if you're the kind of person who falls for those sappy romances. To give you a kind of feel for this book your main characters are Dr. Alex Morgan and Bryn O'Neil. When Bryn was younger Alex's Dad performed heart surgery on her. As soon as they met they became instant friends. Then you jump 24 years later. Now Alex is a heart surgeon and Bryn is a nurse at the same hospital in Atlanta Georgia.
As you continue to read the book, you learn that Alex has a slight problem showing any of her emotions to Bryn. But, that doens't stop their relationship one bit. In turn Alex seeks the help of a therapist, to help her deal with her emotions. As you read on it seems that their relationship is the most wonderful thing in the world, that nothing can stop them. (If only that would happen in real life) But Alex still can't come to terms with her emotions. It seems as though her past keeps haunting her. Will she ever come to terms with her emotions? That, I'm affraid is where you're going to have to read the book.
Over all this is a fabulous book! I recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romance and a wonderful story. The author tells a heart warming story and portrays her characters beautifully. This is definatly a must have for any book shelf. I can't wait for the next book by Alix Stokes.
