Review: Coming out never really ends but the first and perhaps most important step is when you come out to yourself. Once you've done that, you can learn a lot about coming out further by reading "Coming Out Right." This is the first book on the subject of coming out that I recall reading. At the time, I had accepted that I was homosexual, but this book helped me to fully accept and embrace my identity as a gay man. It deals with everything you'll need to know, including but not limited to sex. There are other coming out books, good ones, but I don't think they have improved on this handy little classic.
