Summary: $$$ (don't pay attention to the rating I gave the book)
Review: (*I have not actually read the book.) The book seems to be pretty expensive for a paperback copy. There are not even sample exerpts from the book available. I am interested in glbt literature and film but I'd like the price to be a little more feasible for the average consumer-especially given shipping costs through Amazon. Have not read the book but would like to see someone's real review...

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Trans-Girl 101
Review: Lenore, Annabelle and Jennifer Ann are bestfriends they are family to one another. They understand the rejection from society and yearning to be "the other women"

Pamela Hayes writes heartfelt novels about the Trans Community. Which does not mean others will not enjoy it, just her theme is gender specific.

The Other Women tells the story of three wonderfully delightful transexuals who could very well be your bestfriend or next door neighbor. I felt as though "The Other Women" was a inside look of the experiences from transitioning to living as The Other Women.

At some points while reading the Other Women, it seemed as if I was reading Ms. Hayes story, which I truly enjoyed either way.

Review: The plot lines are treated very silly, the dialogue is simple, and the descriptions are stale. This is the equivalent of a bad TV-movie-of-the-week. It's not even good in a campy way, just boring. In the hands of a better author it could've been very complex and entertaining, though. Save your money and pass on this book. Wish I had.
