Rating: Summary: Stan Kraychik: A Gay Detective for All of Us Review: At last: a gay mystery novel which captures the readers' attention from the start. The characters are well developed and beliveable and the dialog is smart. Don't we all know someone (or wish we knew someone) who has a wit like Stan's? And don't we all wish we could have "drop dead" gorgeous men like the Ranger fall for us (but then stay alive so we can ride off into the sunset happy!). I recommend reading all the Grant Michaels books in order. Stan Kraychik grows with each of his exploits; frequently, characters from one book follow into a latter book. I look forward to each Kraychik mystery to see how my favorite Boston hair-bender evolves, from a timid man climbing his first mountain in Yosemite (as he tries to solve the murder of the Ranger), to a brave Hardy boy-like man piecing together the death of his love-interest.
Rating: Summary: Highly recommended Review: Humourous & funny, interesting mystery, light entertaiment, perfect for vacations.
Rating: Summary: Great series Review: Just think Jessica Fletcher and turn her into a gay male hairdresser. Stan unwillingly becomes involved to help a detective solve a murder. Over the series, he develops a unrequited attraction to the detective providing for the intensity of an otherwise light-hearted series of books. Whatever happens next, we will be entertained.
Rating: Summary: So Much Fun! Review: What a fun read! I really enjoyed this book. Fast paced and funny, Grant Michaels has created a great character. I could not put this book down, as I wanted to get onto the others in the series.
