Summary: What a shame!
Review: What a shame that the more baker writes about virginia kelley, the whiter her protagonist gets. I know that many young, black professionals take on the trappings of the white middle class as they are assimilated, but i had hoped baker would avoid this. the plot is believable, but might have happened to anyone regardless of race. In our society filled with institutionalized racism, it would be good to have a black lesbian hero who is really black.
