Rating: Summary: A ground-breaking consideration in the relevancy of gender Review: Does love of the person lead to a transcendance of gender? Rather than a love evolving from a physical attraction, can a physical attraction evolve from love, regardless of gender? S.E. poses this question and weaves an entertaining storyline as her protagonist comes to grip with the ambiguities posed by such a relationship. This is not a "coming-out" party; it is a "what is love all about" party. I recommend "Falcon Room" to any intrigued by the possibilites of love freed from convention.
Rating: Summary: A Lyrical Masterpiece Review: I first read this book in draft form as it was being edited (I was in a critique group with S.E.) Without question, S.E. is as much poet as novelist. Every sentence, every paragraph, flows with beauty, anger, passion, confusion and intrigue. The story is set against global backdrops and painted in prose that not only takes you to the setting, but leaves you breathless. The characters are so real, so vivid, so deep, that the homo-erotic tension is lost in what truly is a wonderful, believable love story. True love often finds itself in the most unusual ways. This wonderful work reinforces that belief. Buy this book, treasure its words, enjoy the story. S.E. is remarkable.
Rating: Summary: Love without borders Review: S.E. has really brought to life the truth, that love is a connection between souls, one that is beyond gender, culture, religeon or whatever else society deems propper or normal.
The richness of the authors words makes it real and alive. I experienced exotic locales and new adventures, with Thomas and Hassad, the unexpected lovers. I was easily swept up in their passion and adventures along with their struggles against the forces that would pull them apart.
