Summary: please remove review
Review: I can't figure out how to write someone in charge at Amazon but that first review was apparently written by my 'ex'. Some relationships really end badly. Would you be kind enough to delete it?

I have a new book releasing soon and plan to use your Amazon link feature to link my new book with this one.

I appreciate your help and concern in this matter.

Review: I was really looking forward to this book, given its premise, but I was extremely disappointed from page one. I read a lot of books and don't not recall ever reading one so poorly done as this one. The author did not even bother to edit it--on every page there are typos, missing words and misused words. (He tries to impress with his vocabulary but uses "demised" for "surmised" for instance.) He obviously never took a writing course to understand things like how boring long narrative summaries are or that changing points of view within a chapter, let alone a paragraph, is confusing. I like books that "I couldn't put down"--but try as I might, I could not pick this one up again after struggling through the first few chapters.

Summary: Excellent read, but...
Review: The book is well-written and the story line is plausible. Historical events are accurate and descriptions fit well with the time period (Civil War). The characters have color and descriptions are just vivid enough to give you a clear mental picture of the author's intent without long, boring narratives. The book, however, was not well-edited before publication and contains many typos and misspelled words. Ignore those, and you're in for a treat, though! (And Mr. Flack if your next book needs an editor, I'm available free of charge).

Review: This story is lots of fun as Tom Flack mixes a unique twist of historical fact, with historical maybe, and inventative fiction to produce an exciting adventure with bonus of a heart tugging love story. It is the love of the opposing young solders that transforms the fiction feel from a 'what-if' to a 'perhaps' there were gay soldiers from the North & South who were forced to fight for their homelands while seeking an end of battles and on to the blossoming of their romance. It's a fun story where you'll find yourself cheering for the good guys!
