Rating: Summary: Homosexuality and fascism Review: (Revision)The Pink Swastika: Homosexuality in the Nazi Party (4th Ed.) Scott Lively & Kevin Abrams This book challenges the historical revisionism that over the past 30 years or so has generated the widely held belief in a so-called "Gay holocaust" in Nazi Germany, paralleling the very real Jewish holocaust perpetrated during the thirties and forties. In fact, Lively and Abrams argue persuasively that not only was there no such holocaust, but in fact homosexuals occupied leadership positions in the Nazi Party throughout the life of the Nazi movement. The fourth edition of the book, published in 2002, features two new chapters, additional photos and graphic support, and hundreds of new citations, as well as textual revisions responding to criticism of previous editions. The assassination of Ernst Roehm and about a thousand other men over one weekend in June of 1934, known generally the "Night of the Long Knives," is generally cited as evidence of the Nazi Party's hatred of homosexuals. However, Lively and Abrams show that fewer than half of those killed were homosexuals, and several reputable historians claim that Hitler's motivation was political rather than moral. The killings were carried out in response to pressure from Hindenburg, Krupp, and elements of the regular German Army, who threatened to remove Hitler from power if he refused to eliminate Roehm and other open homosexuals whose public behavior had proved to be a scandal. In addition, although Roehm had been Hitler's ally and mentor, he himself had ambitions for power, and it was rumored that he might constitute a threat to Hitler himself. In the US this information is largely suppressed today by the radical homosexual movement, which seeks to establish homosexuality as a social norm. Lively and Abrams claim that after the 1960's, the connection between Nazism and homosexuality-widely known and acknowledged until then-simply disappeared from public discourse, apparently in retreat from charges of homophobia and intolerance. They cite the past treatment of The Pink Swastika itself as prime evidence of their claim. Despite attempts to contribute the book to collections in the U.S. Holocaust Museum and similar institutions, it is either available only on request or kept off the shelves altogether. Lively and Abrams argue they simply want to ensure that the historical assessments in their book be freely considered in the intellectual marketplace of ideas. The parallels between homosexuality in 1930's Germany and homosexuality in the US since about 1970 are ominous. Any student of modern European history or serious observer of the homosexual movement will find The Pink Swastika to be a fascinating and persuasive account of a pivotal period in modern history. Rating: Summary: Militant Gay Propaganda Exposed Review: Gay militants are portraying all who oppose their objectives as "Nazis". Perhaps you've seen a Gay Pride Parade where hundreds of pink triangles are worn or carried. Authors Lively and Abrams (an Orthodox Jew) expose the "Big Lie" that the Nazis were "Anti-Gay". The Nazis were NOT "Anti-Gay"; they were Anti-Femme (anti-effeminate homosexual). The Pink Triangle prisoners in concentration camps were often the sex-slaves of the SS-SD; the death-camp guards who were often former members of the Brownshirts (SA); a notoriously masculine homosexual organization founded by Ernst Rohm; the notoriously open Butch Gay man who was the mentor and "du" buddy of Adolt Hitler. Indeed, the party that later became known as the "Nazi" Party was founded in a Butch Gay Bar in Munich! Lively and Abrams prove that the roots of Naxism can be found in Homo-fascism and Homo-occultism, and that the roots of the gay rights movement in America can be traced directly to the Society for Human Rights; the butch gay organization in which Rohm and other early Nazi leaders were members and founders. An excellent book that bookstores REFUSE to carry. Gay propagandists have dismissed this book as "revisionist"; although the one of the book's authors is an Orthodox Jew, and the book confirms the Holocaust. It's a great expose of the "Big Gay Lie" of today; that the Nazis were Anti-gay.
Rating: Summary: Horrifying But True Review: I haven't finished it yet in 3 times trying, partly because it is too scholarly for me, and partly because it is such an unpleasant era to dwell upon. As to its scholastic veracity, nearly every page is notated and the bibliography at the back of the book is 14+pgs long. As to its unpleasantness, well, just ask any WWII vet to tell you about his experiences -as I have numerous times- and he'll invariably say he 'doesn't want to talk @ it.' No one likes to revisit evil (less so, i've noticed, since Saving Private Ryan & Schindler's List came out...). For example, to learn that Italian police documents reveal Adolf Hitler was arrested for male prostitution as a teen, or that homosexuality was as cosmopolitan in the early years of the 20th c. in Europe as it is here in the US today... most unpleasant. Incidents like this on pg.195 are rampant throughout: "In September, officials surprised the youth and several prison workers in a wild homosexual orgy in broad daylight on a roadside.." So much for any Leave it to Beaver illusions I ever harbored about the good old days. This book brought to light an entire picture of Europe in the teens and twenties and thereafter that I'm embarrassed I never knew about. Clearly, all nations, when governed by any authority other than a Judeo-Christian-based rule of law, are going to suffer a relativistic morality, which in Germany's case, left the door wide open for Hitler; and here today, we're seeing the door open ever wider to the same hedonism that plagued European society then. Our once iron-clad rule of law, slipping away daily, is yet all that stands between the America we love, and the German history we despise.
Rating: Summary: Here's What's Really Behind the Homosexual Agenda! Review: Scott Lively, of Abiding Truth Ministries, and Kevin E. Abrams have done their homework before writing this book. Thoroughly documenting evidence regarding the rise of the Nazi Regime, this book gives keen insight into the dangerous homosexual political agenda gaining power in America today. You will understand that homosexuals don't really want a part in the institution of marriage, they want to destroy it! You will learn why homosexuals show up at pro-abortion activities - on the pro-abort side. Homosexuals will not stop short of creating a society of unlimited sexual license and abortion is a means to this end. Sexual deviancy has destroyed numerous nations before us. Hopefully this book will wake people up, especially Christians, to the fact that we better get involved in the culture wars, or lose the little remaining light for the Gospel this nation has been for the world in the past. We are to occupy until Jesus comes again. Pastors, especially, need to read this book and start leading their congregations before they lose their right to congregate. This is a huge part of loving our neighbor.

Rating: Summary: The truth is always hard.... Review: This book will make (and has made) alot of people really, really mad. And that's a good thing. Truth hurts. Homosexual activists may compare it to anti- Semitic propaganda, but those who actually read it will not be able to find a scrap of Nazi-like venom in its pages. It is, instead, an intriguing and thoughtful look into the evils that formed the very root of the Nazi horror. Nothing in the book strikes one as illogical or unsupported. On the contrary, it is so stuffed with quotes and citations that at times it seems that Lively and Abrams didn't have to do any real writing, they just connect quotes! In the end, this book is simply a warning against the Christian complacency that allowed the Nazi regime in the first place. ... I have to say that Mr. Lively ... would be the first to stand up against any person or government who would treat gays like the Nazis treated the Jews. We learned our lesson from the Holocaust. We will not fail to stand up for basic human rights again. But...we stand by our belief that, though life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are basic human rights, the right to sleep with whoever you please is not. ...
Rating: Summary: The Extensive, Solid Bibliography Is Proof of the Pudding! Review: When I first read this popular book, I was enthusiastic about it, and gave it originally 5 stars, simply believing the authors's presentation of evidence and their arguments. In the meanwhile, after reading many scholarly books, my views have completely changed, hence this new review and rating. However after reading more, I have to question my original belief that this book was reliable. While the book contains a few (true) facts, e. g. that many SA leaders were homosexuals, many conclusions are not valid. That these SA leaders were homosexuals those not prove that the leadership of the third Reich was positive about homosexuality. The mainstream of the leadership was actually to the contrary against homosexual behavior (and this is BTW probably the reason why SS researcher Otto Rahn was set aside and had to commit suicide.) Similarly, that the esoterist Thule society helped launch the NSDAP does not mean that German National Socialist party was esoterist ("occultist" as the authors say). Indeed, the only persons in the NS leadership who had been involved with the Thule society were Alfred Rosenberg (who was not even a member of the society, probably because of his Jewish ancestors) and Rudolf Hess. Himmler himself was busy with Germanic roots and therefore ancient Germanic culture (runes, traditions), but that is not occultism either. Martin Bormann was pagan but not occultist. So there are serious misconceptions here. Furthermore the other National-Socialist leaders were convinced Christians (and BTW even Himmler would regularly go to church), and Hitler himself, when he discovered that the Thule Society had tried to manipulate him, turned against these people (the leader of the then already dissolved society, von Sebottendorff, had to flee out of Germany for his life...). I could tell much more, but this is enough to show that the authors, Lively and Scott, don't have their facts right, not to be of their fallacious reasoning, or of unreliable stories by Hitler's enemies (Hitler's, coprophily, that he was having sex with human excrement...) In conclusion, this book is based on a few true facts, but which were selected while most facts pointing in another direction were ignored (due to bad faith, or to incompetency, or fundamentalist narrow-mindedness??), in any case this is not serious work. In addition to this very bad representation of the facts, the argumentation are not valid (do not logically follow), but are fallacious. Now, (March 2004), it is time that I change my rating for this book, from 5 stars down to 1.
Rating: Summary: Compelling Reading!!! Review: When you open the pages of this book, you need to prepare yourself for the truth, and not merely the truth of the authors, because they quote a vast army of literature which supports their thesis that homosexuals were a prominent group which controlled the policies and politics of the Third Reich. The authors also put to rest the fantasy that homosexuals were a persecuted minority in Nazi Germany, much like the Jews, however, history has proved this to be incorrect, as there was a dichotomy in Nazi Germany between the "Butches" and "Femmes," and if there was any persecution going on in the prisons of Nazi Germany, it was homosexual against homosexual. As the war was coming to an end, more than 85% of European Jewry were being annihilated, and this far exceeds what the Revisionist historians try to persuade us to believe. Also, it is evident that Adolf Hitler surrounded himself with homosexuals at the highest levels, and his public pronouncements against homosexuality starkly differed from the actual practice. The authors contend that this movement, along with the occultic and other arcane philosophies, especially of Nietzche and other anti-Christian forces, helped the homosexuals gain power in Germany. Then there were the liberal forces inside the churches who successfully minimized the Christian church, and which was later used by Hitler for his own deviant purposes. If there is one theory which clearly is evident, it is what the authors refer to as a "homosexualist," and that is an individual or groups of individuals, or politician or entertainer, or any average person who promotes the practice of homosexuality and who advocates for its acceptance in society, and the parallels between Weimar German/Nazi Germany and the American Republic are staggering. Toward the end of the book, the authors examine American Nazism, up until the mid-90's, and it's incredible to see how far we have come in this struggle to legislate this immoral plague in our land. This is compelling reading, and it is not surprising that the "politically correct" want to diminish its impact or even refer to the book as a pack of lies and untruths. The fact is, many credible authors, including William Shirer and Elie Wiesel are quoted to support the book's conclusions. Put your thinking caps on and then examine your own response to this issue. Fascism didn't die in Nazi Germany, it has reappeared in the USA with the Human Rights Campaign and the Democractic Socialist Party who want to legislate homosexuality and then silence those who oppose it, one way or the other. Highly recommended!!!
