Summary: Not Enough Character
Review: Todays book market features a lot of Lesbian themed mysteries and fiction.

Some of these novels are good, and some are bad.

Those of us starved for reading, we tend to read them all. I've checked out this "Storm" series and have placed them all firmly in the "bad" catagory.

As with other books from this series, this story sort of chunks along, and the characters are far from complete or believable. This is a series of novels/mysteries and each repeats the exact same mistake - mainly that there is not an original voice among any of the characters.

With authors like JM Redmann (Micky Knight Series) producing excellent fiction and mysteries, there's no need to settle for this kind of book. For those looking for a some good-read mysteries, author Claire McNab has created a fun character in her detective Carol Ashton. I would also suggest checking out the Kate Delafield Mystery series by Katherine V. Forrest.

On a more personal note, the indication by the publisher above stating that this author enjoys hearing from her fans was rather surprising to me as I have recently encountered this writer and found her to be both insulting to her fan base and envious of other authors (particularily Patricia Cornwell, who writes the very excellent Kay Scarpetta series).

Your money is better spent on a book with more defined characters and a better told story, not to mention an author with appreciation of her audience. Check out the J.M. Redmann books, you won't be disappointed.
