Review: This book is a study in character. It is about the struggle of people who have difficulty dealing with reality. This in its own way is true for every one of us. The book succeeds in showing the humanity in everyone even those who have been ostracized by society. The book flaws stem from the anger that the author genuinely feels with the people who are charged with providing care for the mentally ill. At times the portraits of these people descend into polemics. However this is teh only flaw on a genuinely good book.
