Summary: Feeling the Passion through the Pages
Review: Larry Kramer's collection of pieces he wrote for various New York publications clearly communicate his passion for the issue as a gay man and as an AIDS activist. Some, perhaps many may feel that he is too volatile and angry in his writings and his speeches-- perhaps. However, in the midst of an extraordinarily fast growing epidemic and the experience of everyone around him suffering and dying from this horrible virus, Kramer's passion is understandable and while you may not agree with his tactics, you may be able to feel his rage and his frustration. I recommend this book to those who missed his articles and speeches when they were initially published and given as an integral part of understanding an important part of HIV/AIDS history and activism.
