Review: Bob Vickery, whoever he might be, has a way with words and a nice sense of character and place, and he's able to do that rare thing - write harcore sex scenes that actually arouse and capture a sense of gay men's desires. Like the previous reviewer, I find the titles of the stories silly and unimaginative. But don't let that stop you from dipping into a first-rate collection. In fact, you'll find it hard to read just one tale at a time. And yes, that was a pun.

Summary: A surprisingly well-written, hot book of gay erotica
Review: I found "Cock Tales" to be a great read: sexy, well-written, sometimes funny, sometimes touching, even sometimes haunting. The stories avoid the standard porn cliches and actually have real plots and characters. The only quibble I might have is with the story titles, which sometimes get a little silly ("Fireman Nick Slides Down the Pole", "69ing on a Stormy Sea")but the actual stories are well-crafted and fun to read. I highly recommend the book.
