Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A thousand words is worth a picture.
Review: The first two installments in the Quickies series have fans, and authors, from all over the world and this third volume will certainly carry on that tradition. Editor James C. Johnstone pared down well over two hundred submissions to present us with 69+ tales to keep you enthralled for hours, whether it is one story at a time or several. Each tale is 1000 words or less (I actually counted a couple that were so good I couldn't believe it!) and can be read while waiting for the bus, on break at work or even whilst in the "loo".

The stories themselves range from the tragic, as in Marshall Moore's 'Certain Shades of Blue' to the forbidden, as you'll find in Billy Cowan's 'Monster Lust'. But amongst these tales are humourous pieces as well, like David J. Cheater's 'Elf Lust'. In short, it's eye candy for the mind and whether you seek stories of geeky nerd sex or tales abot the hot guy you went to high school with, you're sure to find something in these thousand word stories that will bring up a picture that no camera could ever catch.
