Rating: Summary: A Page Turner Review: I found this book on of the most intriguing stories i have read in a long time. I read it from start to finish without putting it down. There are a lot of surprises as the story unfolds. The characters are well written, with a compassionate and eye opening look at their struggles. I would urge any christian who wonders about the homosexual lifestyle to read this book. Not only is it a great page turner with a great plot, it is a touching story that will bring you to tears before your done.

Rating: Summary: Average Review: The whole story starts when Greg Bishop, a psychologist, gets a phone call from Joshua Ferguson, the host of a weekly series, in the middle of the night. The next day Bishop finds out that Ferguson committed suicide but before he sent a letter and a video tape to Bishop's office. The video is about Ferguson's last piece of work, a research on the gay rights movement but before Bishop can watch the whole tape someone steals it. So the question is what did Ferguson find out before he died? And it's not only Greg Bishop, there are many other persons who are interested in the tape.Actually this is a very interesting plot. The author also manages to keep the tension through the whole book. Piece by piece he reveals more and more what the tape is about till the end of the book. The only problem is that there are far too many characters. I often had to turn back the pages to see who is who. The writer is very well informed on the topic and tries to reveal all different aspects but unfortunatly this leeds to all different shapes of characters. From "bad" gays to "good" gays over "don't want to be" and former gays. Same with the Christians in the book. There are "good" and "bad" ones and all different sorts inbetween. At the end when a racist group of children and grandchildren of former Ku-Klux-Klan members (in this group they are all "bad") appears on the scene it's too much. So the story is good and if you are interested in the topic you will find new aspects to think about. The end is surprising (almost too surprising) but too many and all sorts of characters aren't helpfull. I've red better and I've red worse books. I don't regret spending time on reading it but I won't read it again.
