Summary: enjoyable fiction - good twists and turns
Review: ...

Storm Surge is a work of fiction and depicts characters which will make you laugh, perhaps get angry or hot under the collar but overall its a very enjoyable ride to take and well worth the effort. I have read the first edition published by dare to Dream and found there to be some merit in a rework. The Authors edition is well done and I thoroughly recommend the read to anyone.

Summary: Amazingly Original, dramatic, and snags your attention.
Review: A strong story draws the reader into the world of the narrative by presenting action that is dramatic, interesting, different, unusual, puzzling...or something that snags the attention of the audience. This is one of those stories. First, you have law enforcement action and involvement, with its indecent elements of the criminal world including drug trafficking shown in true life form. Alex Montgomery would have given her life in the line of duty, but she lost something far more precious when she became the target of ruthless drug traffickers and Conner Harris is a seasoned officer. Together, they make a heck of a team. Second: The women in the story are human, and they make mistakes and suffer misconceptions about each other as we all do. Alex gives the sadness substance and Conner's caring significance, applying it somehow to the sadness in everyone's life when no one cares, and the triumph of the spirit when someone does. There was a loving quality to the women and that takes flair and real talent. When you have two individuals dealing with drug trafficking and their own personalities and agendas, you are going to have misunderstandings and emotions high's and lows. Third: It wasn't until I started reading through book for the second time to find an passage that I realized that this particular sequence read so real that I wondered if perhaps it wasn't based on some case, or particular situation that had occurred, for it came off as being so true to actual circumstances and life like that I could really appreciate the writing even more than I did the first time. And Lastly: This revised edition has amazing originality and a higher level of literacy than I've come across in a long time and it should attract many fans for that reason alone. Excellent reading any day of the week!

Summary: Revised Edition
Review: FBI Special Agent Alex Montgomery would have given her life in the line of duty, but she lost something far more precious when she became the target of ruthless drug traffickers. Recalled to Jacksonville to aid the local authorities in infiltrating the same deadly drug ring, she has a secret agenda--revenge. Despite her unexpected involvement with Conner Harris, a tough, streetwise detective who has dedicated her life to her job at the cost of her own personal happiness, Alex vows to let nothing--and no one--stand in the way of exacting vengeance on those who took from her everything that mattered.

In the all new, revised edition of Storm Surge, these two driven women discover that even in the midst of danger, murder, and betrayal, there is one force even more powerful than duty and retribution--the connection forged by the human heart. Follow Alex and Connor in this thrilling action tale as they seek justice and the promise of a future where love might one day be found.

Summary: Doesn't know the proper police language and is unbelievable.
Review: I am looking forward to her next book Code Blue. This book had the right mixture of romance and drama.

Summary: Could have been better
Review: I just red this book and I am desappointed! Where is the story? It's sex, sex and sex. Don't think wrong, usually I like the sex part in lesbian romance, I'm a huge fan of Radcliffe, but this one is too much!
If the police story has been in the foreground, it would have been better. But the story is shallow and a lot of it doesn't seem real or even possible.
Too bad, it could have been a great book with less sex and more story.

Summary: Storm Surge just gets better and better!!
Review: I was captured by the web version of Storm Surge then the first published release but KatLyn has successfully taken Storm Surge to another level. It is an exciting, grip you, thriller, well written and professionally edited. What do you want from a story? One you can actually remember the names of the characters? Have you ever started a book you just couldn't put down? Well Storm Surge has it...ALL...great plot and characters with love scenes that can sizzle even a hot AZ night! KatLyn has nurtured the growth of Storm Surge with professionalism, pride and love. You will not be disappointed!

Summary: Drama! Intrigue! Suspense!
Review: One woman, an FBI agent known as the Shadow, recovering from injuries sustained in a tragic event that cost her someone very dear to her, meets a female law enforcement officer who seems to become involved in a "comedy of accidents" when they are around each other. The two women spend some wonderful days together only to discover that they are both working on the same case - for completely different reasons! Mistrust by one immediately springs up for the other. What motives did they have for not telling? What cost could this have on their growing relationship? When one is placed in danger and disappears, can the other put aside her feelings and focus on doing what needs to be done? Will she be in time to save what could be the love of her life?

Dramatic, suspenseful and intriguing, Storm Surge: Author's Edition is an incredible story, unfolded by a very talented writer.

Summary: Doesn't know the proper police language and is unbelievable.
Review: Recalled to J to aid the local authorities in infiltrating the same deadly drug ring, and despite her unexpected involvement with Conner Harris, another cop really fails as a mytery, thriller or even as a suspense or romance novel. The characters are unbelievable, and the plot of revenge just falls flat on the floor with failure. I seriously doubt this wanttabe writer has even been in a police station, and doesn't even know the proper language. I read this on the internet for free, and should never have spent money on it, because not only is is unbelievable, but D2D does lousy editing for their writers. Recommend you buy Peggy J. Herring from Bella Books. You won't go wrong with Peggy, but this one, save your money.

Summary: Characters have charm, determination, good storyline.
Review: Storm Surge, the Author's edition, is a great re-work of an initial published effort with a different publisher. The special edition has been greatly improved, and obviously had some great editing advice. Storm surge had wonderfully developed character with guts, determination and charisma. There is a real connection between the main characters. Conner's growing love for Alex is wonderful and unfolds nicely. However it doesn't happen overnight but in a more meaningful way. I love a good police story, and this is exceptional well done. Such an incredibly unpredictable, fiery and strong couple of women thrown together in a very dangerous situation. You suffer their hurting and enjoy yourself with the disintegration of their defenses when it comes to finding each other. That's because change can force a choice between deeply held values, needs, or attitudes. The use of police language is really imposing. Katlyn has a great talent for bringing her characters to life. The writing is exceptional, rock solid and a splendid read.

Summary: Shady Lady Meets the Shadow...
Review: The back cover describes police officer Conner Harris as a tough cop, however there is nothing in the story that backs up the description. She is smart, sexy, and daring, but not necessarily tough.

FBI Agent Alex Montgomery is really a pussy cat in disguise, but she is on a mission to avenge her previous lover's murder.

These two come together under intense circumstances and hit it off immediately. The story focuses mostly on their romance and includes almost too many sex scenes. There is not a good balance between their relationship and the investigation. However, it is well written and kept my attention (I read it in one night). I didn't understand the need for the predictable plot twist at the end, but I would still recommend the book to anyone looking for a good first novel. I'm planning to read Code Blue this weekend and can't wait to start.
