His narrative style in "Our Little Secret" flows so naturally - the reader is not so much reading, as being told an important story, allowed to join in this painful journey, and permitted to witness true strength, courage, and love. Thick book, quick read - it is cliche, but true: you won't be able to put this book down. Voraciously and desperately, I tore through "Our Little Secret", and each page led me to care more and more about the main character and wanting to learn more about his journey. READ THIS BOOK!

Review: I have to say that this has been the best book that I have read in years. I couldn't put it down. Kevin Carey is the next James Patterson. I am truly looking forward to reading his next book and see what happens next to Geoffrey Brooks. I would recommend this book to everyone that I know. It is an emotional rollercoaster that will keep you guessing at every turn. Truly a work of art.

Summary: Powerful, Heart Wrenching Read. I Couldn't Put It Down!
Review: I loved this book. It was a great read and is now one of my personal favorites. The book was sad, dramatic, suspenseful and even funny at times. Wow, what a journey. Some secrets must not be kept. Our Little Secret exposes some very serious crimes against innocent children. The title does not prepare you for the graphic nature of the torture two young boys suffered at the hands of a strong, powerful, respected man in the community. His absolutely evil control over the boys intimidated them enough to keep the horrible secret longer than they should have. The characters are wonderful; you really like the protaginist and everyone will wish they had a "Grandpop" in their lives like this one. I think that parents, teachers, social workers and other adults should read this book as it might help them protect other children from actual sexual predators who can maim a child forever. I am looking forward to Mr. Carey's next work.

Review: Normally, I never read anything but academic articles on tax law (not very exciting). But, I have a friend who knows the author and said I had to read this book. I purchased the book and read all 500 pages in less than a day. It was that good. For the first 60 pages, I thought I was going to vomit. The abuse was unimagineable. The journey on how Geoffrey Brooks became a Special Operations Agent was incredible. The book is written well and is easy to read. I highly suggest this book to mature readers.
