Summary: New travel series - excellent first book!
Review: After being frustrated at the poor quality and limited perspective of most gay and lesbian travel guides, I was thrilled to find this interesting, well written, humorous, and accurate guide to gay and lesbian life and travel in Iceland. It weaves an interesting gay history through the descriptions of destinations, which gives the book a more relevant perspective than typical GLBT travel guides that are commonly little more than listings of clubs and accommodations. Apparently this is the first of a new series of gay and lesbian travel guides, which target the more sophisticated traveler. I look forward to seeing more from this series.
