Rating: Summary: Funny, Satisfying and Realistic Review: I bought this book on the advice of friends, and it was incredible. I wasn't sure what to expect from this book about the love between two guys who fell in love at first sight, but I was pleasantly surprised and moved by the clandestine love between them throughout the story. It is a very accurate look at the gay lifestyle, from gay bars to bath houses. I could recognize so many of my friends in the characters of this book, and I really got caught up in seeing how their lives would turn out. The ending was something that took me by surprise. You have got to read this book! It's beautifully written, powerful and emotional. A book I think that everyone should own. Mario Watts, all of my respect to you! I HIGHLY recommend this book!
Rating: Summary: Fabulous! Review: I bought, read and immediately fell in love with this book. The writing skills, artful plotting, and valid characterizations of the young men depicted in this novel are a cut above most gay novels, not to mention the very vivid sex scenes that kept me intrigued throughout the book. It's shockingly real, exciting, and the end will satisfy. Gay men, almost intrinsically by nature, are predominantly promiscuous, failing at ever attaining and nurturing something meaningful or ever-lasting. Gay relationships are not like their heterosexual counterparts of growth, success, stability, and true equal partnership. Instead, it's based upon looks and hopes of an open relationship. Sometimes even sex alone. I have found "Rainbow Song" to be an inspirational journey in finding the courage within yourself, to follow your heart. Mario Watts has done a great job developing the story and characters and as such he has demonstrated real talent in writing such a wonderfully entertaining novel. This is a real page-turner from start to finish and I look forward to reading future works from this author.
Rating: Summary: You've Gotta Read This Book! Review: You never forget the first time! Evoking the trembling, heart-pounding, sweaty-palmed, this book provides some of the hottest reading of the season. Sometimes sexy, sometimes awkward, but always real, Mario Watts' "Rainbow Song" is a sure bet to set your blood racing!
