Rating: Summary: Three Stars for Part III Review: (Originally reviewed July 1999) This represents the 3rd of the Trilogy, which includes Invisible Life and Just as I Am. Our favorite good guy Raymond Tyler is sitting on top of the world. He's in a committed relationship with his fraternity brother Trent who we met in Just as I Am and is sharing a home with him in Seattle. As if things can't get any better, Ray has just been nominated for a federal judgeship. He expects a tough confirmation process but Lisa, his advocate during the process, assures him that he should have no problem being confirmed. Now if things seem to be too good to be true they are, this is a novel chock full of problems, drama and comedy. Curves are definitely ahead for Raymond and the other characters.Returning to the cast of characters are Raymond's family (Ray Sr., Marlee and Kirby), Nicole, Raymond's former girlfriend who is now his best friend Jared's wife, Peaches the mother of that crazy "chirl" Kyle who passed away from AIDS, and the guy all Harris' fans love to hate, Mr. John Basil Henderson as well as some new faces.
Rating: Summary: Another great offering from Harris Review: Although Abide With Me isn't as juicy as his rest it still captures that "need to read" in you. You can start to see how Yancey Braxton (soon to be Yancey B.) grew her horns. When I finished reading this book, I kinda wanted Harris to elaborate on the whole Trent situation. But I liked how he incorporated Kyle back into the story.

Rating: Summary: A great Read Review: Enjoyable and REAL. Good tension that will keep you turning the pages. Appreciate the realistic portrayal of gay partnered couples and challenges we face.
Rating: Summary: Good as usual Review: Harris did his thing as usual. I can't wait for one of his books to become a movie!!
Rating: Summary: THE BEST THING THAT I HAVE EVER READ Review: I HAVE READ A LOT OF BOOKS, BUT I HAVE NEVER READ ANYTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE. I WAS HOOK FROM THE FIRST BOOK INVISIBLE LIFE. IF YOU HAVE NEVER READ E. LYNN HARRIS I SUGGEST YOU GIVE HIM A READ. I LOVE THE WAY HE LEAVE THE READER WON'TING MORE HE TAKE YOU INTO THE WORLD AND LIFES OF EACH AND EVERY PERSON IN THE BOOK. AFTER YOU READ THE FIRST BOOK YOU WILL WON'T TO GET EVERYTHING THAT HE HAS EVER WROTE. IT TOOK ME 2 DAY TO READ ABIDE WITH ME AND NOW I'M WORKING ON NOT A DAY GOES BY AND BY THE LOOK OF THING I WILL FINISH THAT WITH IN TWO DAYS ALSO. I ALREADY HAVE ANY WAY THE WIND BLOWS READY AS SOON AS I PUT DOWN NOT A DAY GOES BY. THIS MAN CAN TELL A STORY I DON'T CARE WHAT WALK OF LIFE YOU ARE FROM THERE IS SOMETHING OR SOMEONE IN HIS BOOKS THAT YOU CAN RELATE TO AS LONG AS HE KEEP WRITING I WILL KEEP READING. I LOVE A INTERESTING STORY WITH A VERY GOOD PLOT. SO DO YOUR THING BOY.
Rating: Summary: An Absolute Delight BRAVO You did it AGAIN! Review: I loved this book. Much like the others (Just as I am, Invisible Life, And this too shall Pass) I thought it was well written (as always) and once again we got to see characters that we the readers feel like we've come to know. Personally I felt Nicole was a bit too naive with the whole Yancy thing but aside from that no surprises. Basil has given me that whole love/hate thing and Raymond is his usual sweet self. I felt his pain and betrayal with Trent. I don't know if that marks the end of this saga with these characters but I have truly enjoyed reading about their trials and tributlations. It will be like saying goodbye to old friends. Keep up the good work! I'm looking forward to the next book. I am a loyal E Lynn Harris fan and as long as you write I will continue to give you my financial support by buying and my moral support by writing/reviewing. God Bless you
Rating: Summary: Romans 10:9-14 - confusion was not part of His plan. Review: I read Any way the wind blows & Not a day goes by before I read Abide with me. If you happen to come into the series of E. Lynn's books and want more of the scoop on Basil's problems with his past, Raymond's lifestyle, the true 'not-so-divafied' evil side of Yancey and they're mutual friends...then you should start with this one! It'll help you put 'two & two together' on the lives and backgrounds of all of the characters.
Rating: Summary: OUTSTANDING! Review: I read this book in less than 24 hours! Run, don't walk to your nearest bookstore and pick this one up! I'm only sorry to hear that this is the last book in the Invisible Life series. I will miss Raymond, Trent, Ms. Nicole, Jared and even Basil! Thank you E. Lynn Harris for creating such heart warming, yet very different characters that made me laugh and cry so many times! You have such a wonderful way of pulling the reader directly into the character's personal life, where you experience so much of what that person is feeling. I have read all of your books, and they just keep on getting better (if that's even possible!) I wish you the best of luck with this book, and I look forward to your next masterpiece!
Rating: Summary: Men and Women Review: If you ever wanted to know what it was like on a mans side, read this book. Sistas you thought we had it bad it is the same way on both sides. You can read this book in 3 days max.
