Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A great read! Review: I really enjoyed this book; good plot, characters you care about, clever dialogue and just the right amount of angst. What more could a reader ask? I read the net versions of this story which I also enjoyed but the book has picked out the essence of that and made it into a tighter, more pacey story. A great read!!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: This is a good read! Review: I think I've read almost everything written in modern lesbian pulp fiction -- and this was a good read. Much better than most. It's intelligently written and the story develops into two love stories between the same two women -- the first being lust based and the second of loving someone even when it isn't easy. The sexual tension develops realistically. What I really liked is that once the "straight woman" realizes she has woman-to-woman desires she acts decisively with her family, friends, and in her business. I really hate the "I have so many doubts -- is this right for me" plot in most novels of this ilk -- and this book doesn't go that route which was a refreshing change. I hope this author writes many more books.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Love among the Ruins! Review: Just when you thought there was no new wrinkle in the xenaverse, this bard arrives with the best 'meet cute' ever conceived. The title says it all. Life among the faults of southern California. This is such a witty book. (The Sequel is called "Stirred.") The XU is, to quote another bard, "so deeply closeted, she's paneling." But it makes for a thoughtful, gradual romance. Look up this author's online uber based on her Kilimanjaro trek and you will not be disappointed. Thrilling romance and great scenery.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Intelligent, Witty, and Poignant -- A GREAT Book! Review: Like the other reviewers have already said, Shaken is fantastic! Having read volumes of lesbian fiction, I found Shaken a refreshing change from some of the angst and mushiness that often permeates this genre. The story, without giving up the plot, includes it all - suspense, romance, great intimate moments, humor, and even some beautifully written emotional rollercoasters. What makes Shaken stand out in the crowded elevator of modern lesbian fiction is that KG MacGregor has written her characters as tangible, believable people who have tangible, believable problems and react to these in very human ways. Even situations in the book which are not everyday occurrences (don't want to give up plot points) are written such that one could actually imagine being there. KG also writes compelling secondary characters; in fact, the secondary characters are so well-developed, I found myself wishing KG would write a few "spin-off" tales for these characters. The only problem with Shaken is that once you have begun reading it, you will not want to put the book down! Shaken is, by far, the best of its kind I have read and I am eagerly awaiting the release of other books from this extraordinarily talented author!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Wonderful Writing Review: This book is one of the best I have read in a long time. And believe me, I have read everything out there. The story is well told with great dialogue and humor. The characters come alive and I savored the book to the last page. You know you loved the book when you feel a little sad that there isn't more after you've finished. I hope this author writes many more books as she has tremendous talent and imagination. I never go over the plot but would rather tell fellow readers if it was a great read or simply awful. This book is a keeper in your favorite book section.
