Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Not her best Review: Although a very touching and romantic story, I felt something was missing. There needed to be more tension between the main characters, an energy to draw you into the story and feel part of it.Johnson's plot in "Beach Affair" was much stronger than "Strangers In the Night." Knowing this I'll watch for her next novel.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: not as great as the reviews Review: Amalia Grant had read every Hawaiian guidebook she could find and was soon awed by her trip to the Big Island's rich tapestry of color and texture, its warm and sensuous landscape of shimmering black sand beaches, hidden waterfalls, lush valleys, dripping rainforests, and steaming volcanoes. But nothing could prepare her for a moonlit meeting on Kilauea's lava fields and the way her body and soul would react to a stranger's fiery touch. Strangers In The Night is a superbly written romance of two women encountering each other against a backdrop of South Pacific grandeur.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: A NICE READ! Review: I was drawn in,really liked it. I do wish the process by which Paige goes from "woman hopping" butch to being in love with Amalia was more developed. It seems like she just woke up and decided she was in love. Would have loved less focus on the environment/scenery and more on the characters' developing relationship, AND MORE EXPLICIT LOVE SCENES.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Hot Lesbian Romance Review: This is sure fire winner. Amalia Grant, recovering from serious injuries received in an automobile accident in which her lover is killed, buys a one way ticket to Hawaii to start life anew. She meets Paige Parker who is in Hawaii looking into the university's graduate program. The two meet and love begins for both. Romance novels is a new genre for Barbara Johnson and she does an excellent job. Don't miss this one!
