Rating: Summary: A Blazing Trail of Truth! Review: Trailblazing has been one of the first nonfiction titles I have ever read from Alyson Publications, a favorite publisher of mine. It is also a perfect example that true life is better than fiction. Although I am far from being athletic (I was a band nerd in high school), Eric's story is one that I would highly suggest to all "team players." A story of acceptance, it is much like any other high schooler's battle to fit in, yet this time it is the teacher trying to win that battle instead. The support he received from his students is truly touching, as they stood by his side to meet their goals as a team, ignoring the hate and harassment. If you read The Front Runner by Patricia Nell Warren, then don't miss out on Eric Anderson's Trailblazing, the new leader of the race. Pardon the pun, but he is definitely on the right track!!
