Summary: Sexy Athletes
Review: This takes a new spin on his writing, it has different characters and a new appeal. I liked it and couldn't wait to pick it up again. Plus the men in this book sound so fine. I live in Chicago, where are they? Ha Ha

Summary: And This Too Shall Pass
Review: I felt that this book was not like the others. I was interested in this book but not like I was with his other books. It kept the same characters and also brought new characters into this book. I also like the way that he used Zurich character.

Summary: Another Great Book by E. Lynn Harris
Review: I think the author does a great job developing characters that seem real and believable. It's amazing how the plot thickens as you finish each chapter. MamaCee is such a great person!

Summary: Pass on purchasing this book
Review: I bought this book because one my friends told me about it and it seemed like the plot would be interesting. NOT!! First of all the book was dragged out far too long. I wanted the problems resolved quicker than they were. A lot of characters were left somewhat undeveloped and the book just seemed to be about a black man realizing he was gay which isn't exactly a genre that I am interested in. Perhaps if this subject was presented differently it may have been more enjoyable. If you still feel you must read this book borrow it from the library or a friend.

Summary: Very good but not one of my favorites.
Review: I love E.Lynn Harris, he is one of the most talented authors around. He makes all of his characters come to life, right off the page. In this novel I loved how he made Zurich be so close to his grandmother, MamaCee reminded me so much of my own grandmother. This books makes you realize so much. And I'm happy Mia is moving on with her life in a postive manner. And I loved the ending. To any one who loves a good book--pick up anything E.Lynn Harris

Review: This is a good book... It's a little boring but it's ok... I wish Basil Henderson would finally admit that he is a homosexual... dang..

Summary: And This to Shall Pass
Review: This was the first book I read by Harris, I could not stop reading the book, it had a believable story line and all the characters were well devolped. The book had a few good suprises , one being Zurich twin Zach. When I finished reading this I had to go out and by Harris first and second novels. And This To Shall Pass is a excellent read and will have you wondering if you have male friends, past lovers, family that were gay. I will be recommending it to my book club, The Circle of Sisters

Summary: Shall pass
Review: I always admired E.Lynn Harris's book. This one was good. But I enjoyed his first two a little more.

Summary: Just Okay
Review: This was E. Lynn Harris' third novel. I liked it in many waysbut was disappointed in others. Compared to characters in his firsttwo books (Invisible Life and Just as I Am) these people seemed to lack the same emotion and inner struggle. I am guessing that the first novels were somewhat autobiographical and that enabled the writer to put more of himself into the stories. Though And This To Shall Pass was a captivating story, it seemed like more of a formula novel than one of real intent.

Perhaps I viewed his first two as informative. Single black women often joke that all the eligible black men are either married, in jail or gay. Mr. Harris schooled us that some of the so-called remaining good ones are secretly bisexual and leading lives which can ultimately wreak havoc for all involved. Most single women that I know who have read E. Lynn, recommend him. Those who haven't say they are too afraid.

Summary: I Don't Think So
Review: Although I did find this book entertaining and somewhat hard to put down,it was only because I was reading just to find out what happened. Harris just tells a story. Nothing spectacular; hiswriting is far from intriguing. I even hated most of the characters; all of them, except for the angelic Zurich, were extremely self absorbed and had too many unrealistic 'secrets.' This book should have been published under a black 'harlequin' label, and Harris should hardly be acknowledged as a literary genius. For the readers who feel this is the best book you have ever read--I feel sorry for you that you have not been exposed to mind blowing literature.Do not limit yourself to Harris' drivel.
