Summary: Time for something new!!
Review: I have read all of ELynn's novels and I feel it is time for him to give us something of substance. I enjoyed all of the first 3 novels. The last three left something to be desired. The concept of the bisexual/gay world has been interesting but let's get down to another topic, or is that all you know what to write about. I must admit that I am tired of drama novels where the author tries to wrap up everthing nice and neat in the last say 20 pages. Give us a little more credit in what we like to read. Mr. Harris it is time for a novel with some substance. You tried to give us a piece of that when discussing everyone's childhood but don't throw us a bone and then take it back and say that's all you need. I expect more from our black authors so please take this criticism with love. It is time to give us something written with less drama and more substance of life. Not everyone is involved in abusive relationships gay/bisexual/heterosexual. Enligthment is one thing but must we drown in the subject. Time for something new!!!!

Summary: How could anyone think this book is good?
Review: I have stuck with E. Lynn Harris' novels even when they were going downhill, but this latest installment of the same previous characters, which at one time I found interesting, now seem like immature, greedy, narcissistic individuals.

None of these characters I felt anything for, unlike the ones in Invisible Life. It seems now the only characters worth writing about is people who are money hungry. The only true success black people can attain is in the sport and entertainment field. Haven't black folks been plagued enough by that stereotype?

Just about everyone who is a main character in his novels are super good looking, with ridiculous perfect bodies-tends to get boring without something to back it up. I think Mr. Harris is just regurgitating the same tired characters with the same tired plots. This one was more unbelievable and contrived than his previous novels. When I was reading this I was thinking, he can't be serious. How could anyone care about these characters who would do go through any type of back stabbing and telling lies to get what they want? I did not feel sorry for these characters in any way, who brought these problems on themselves. How could anyone think Basil will make a good father when he has yet to face his demons, even after he got busted? Both him and Rosa are two people who don't even love each other and conceived a child through a promiscuous relationship.

I think Mr. Harris needs to get out his comfort zone and look for new ways to challenge himself as a writer in order to make exciting, bold new work. Most likely this won't happen because most reviewers have rated this book favorably and it's on the best seller list. I don't know if this is due out of some loyalty to an author who once brought a wonderful story about black people to life on paper.

Until I see a change, I will stick with borrowing his books at the public library.

Summary: Couldn't Put It Down!
Review: If you haven't already purched this book, GO GET IT! It's worth it. I started this book at 5:30 pm and was done with it at 10pm. I couldn't put it down. It had my attention from beginning to end. Mr. Harris had done it again. Another great novel. Very suspensful.

Summary: Perfect Read for the Summer,Fall or Winter
Review: I thought this sequel was marvelous because it enabled me to get closure on characters that despite their dysfunction, I cared about them. 'Any Way The Winds Blows' will make you laugh out loud and feel something deep inside. I have read all of E. Lynn Harris' books and will continue to be a devoted reader. This book was a quick read as well because I finished it in 2 days of commuting on the subway. Keep of the great work, E. Lynn Harris because you have a devoted fan in me. I want to see what happens to Bart... and of course Miss Ava because I know we haven't heard the end of them yet!

Summary: KIND OF DISAPPOINTED
Review: I truly enjoyed this book but didn't care to much for the ending. Will there be a continuation to this book...it doesn't seem like it. It seemed to me the ending was "And they lived happily ever after". It didn't leave me in suspense like the past novels...and I have read them all!!! "Anyway the wind blows" was a birthday present from me to me...I ordered it on my birthday. I have no problem with the story line itself; I just didn't care for the ending. I wish more would have taken place between the characters. Like Basil somehow catching up with that wicked "AVA". I was pleased to see "Nicole" being mentioned again not to mention "Raymond". Those past novels get "10 Stars" from me. I just hope the next book will go back to leaving me "BREATHLESS".......I have faith in you E.Lynn

Summary: cash worthy
Review: Of all the twenty odd books that i've read since the year started, 'Anyway the wind blows' is the most memorable of them all. Harris, who happens to be one of my favorite writers, has a talent of capturing the atention of his readers. Yancy and Basil kept me wanting more and more...then some more. Hopefully Harris will have another follow up to this entertaining, humorous, sensitive, deceptive, glamorous, provocative and romantic novel.

Summary: Another Winner By E. Lynn Harris
Review: As usually E. Lynn Harris never disappoints. This just like the may he has written before was not only superbly written but offers a deeper look into the lives of Basil and Yancey. And not only does he incorporate past favorite characters such and Raymond and even Zurich but includes a host of new characters as well. Overall the books is another winner in the collection of Harris books.

Summary: Once Again
Review: I really enjoyed this book. Basil with his bad self got just what he deserves. Yancy's doing her thing becoming an music artist and I am glad that she and Basil ended on a good note from the last time to put that mother of hers in check. However there were many loose ends. Like did Basil get at Bart for trying to destroy him. Will Yancy ever meet her daughter. Is Basil going to be heterosexual. The book just ended with no tie end. However I still like the story line and its a good read. E. Lynn I wonder what you will think of next. GOOD LUCK!!!!

Summary: GOOD BUT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER!
Review: BEING AN AVID READER OF MR. HARRIS' NOVELS, I MUST SAY THAT THIS WAS SOMEWHAT OF A DISAPPOINTMENT. THE BOOK HAS A GOOD STORYLINE BUT THE CHARACTERS COULD HAVE BEEN MORE DEVELOPED. I ALSO THINK THAT MR. HARRIS SHOULD PUT BASIL HENDERSON TO REST. I MEAN REALLY, IT IS TIME. I FEEL THAT HE SHOULD MOVE ON AND CREATE NEW CHARACTERS. IT WOULD REALLY HELP FUTURE BOOKS, AND HOPEFULLY STOP THE PREDICTABLE ENDINGS WE HAVE FOUND IN THE LAST TWO BOOKS.
