Review: Evidently first published in French, this book was the first in history to give the outside world an accurate account of the extensive Japanese homosexual practice throughout most of Japanese recorded history. Later works have been able to provide more details, but this book opened the doors to all the subsequent scholarly efforts.

Well worth a look, and a valuable item for any library!
