Rating: Summary: L. J Maas---- an enchantress Review: L.J.Maas has captured my heart! She weaves a story of friendship, love, passion, intrigue, compassion and suspense. I've read this book twice and loved it as much the second time. I highly recommend Meridio's Daughter. L. J. Maas has fast become a favorite author and I'm looking forward to her other works as well!
Rating: Summary: Meridio's Daughter Review: LJ Maas paints a story with words. This is a real page turner and the end leaves you impatient to read the sequel. Her stories are gripping, visual, and her characters resonate. This is a great story and the sequel cannot come fast enough.

Rating: Summary: Too much steam Review: Maas is a pretty decent writer, but this instance of her work is so full of "steamy bits" that the story and characters only take up a small fraction of the page count. If you're looking for highly detailed, very descriptive erotic writing of two women going at it, this may be for you. I tend to flip past that to read the story. In this case, that meant I paged past ~50% of the book (or so it seemed). It was a bit frustrating to find so little here, because I do enjoy her stories. YMMV.
Rating: Summary: Meridio's Daughter Review: Teresa (Nikki) Nikolaidis is cold and ruthless, the perfect person to be Kare, the right-hand, to Greek magnate Andreas Meridio. Cassandra (Casey) Meridio has come home after a six-year absence to find that her father's new Kare is a very desirable, but dangerous woman. Set in modern day Greece on the beautiful Island of Mykonos, this novel weaves a tale of emotional intrigue as two women from different worlds struggle with forbidden desires. As the two come closer to the point of no return, Casey begins to wonder if she can really trust the beautiful Kare. Does Nikki's dark past hide secrets that will eventually bring down the brutal Meridion Empire, or are her actions simply those of a vindictive woman? Will she stop at nothing for vengeance.. even seduction?
Rating: Summary: Adventure, Angst, Love, and Obstacles Review: Tessa Nikolaidis is the 'right-hand man' or Kare to a rich and powerful Greek olive grower named Andreas Meridio. Cassandra 'Casey' Meridio is that rich man's daughter. Tessa and Casey should have only a business relationship with one another. Alas, it is not to be. When Tessa is assigned to furnish protection to Casey, the two cannot resist the growing attraction. But Tessa is also a woman with many secrets and the revelation of the worst of these could--and should--drive Casey away. Can she keep these secrets? And what about the fact that some of those secrets have to do with old events involving Casey that the younger woman does not remember? What will happen when Casey does remember? As the Kare, Tessa is required to take many actions that are not quite legal. But she is so filled with old anger and rage, that she is willing to do them in order to settle old scores and achieve revenge. How can she carry on in that vein when Casey is pulling her away from darkness and toward light? And what sacrifices will Tessa be willing to make? MERIDIO'S DAUGHTER is filled with memorable characters and rising drama that doesn't quit until the very final page. This one is a 'must-read'! Rating: Summary: Stunning, seductive thriller Review: This book exceeded all expectations. I started reading it at 7pm and finished it at just before midnight and then started re-reading it again. I woke up in the morning and continued reading it. I just couldn't put it down. I alomost wanted to take the day off from work just to explore it some more. The writing and the plot were magnetic. There was never a boring part in the book. All the scenes were relevant. The ending was tremendous.
Rating: Summary: The Reviews here are a little Overly Optimistic Review: This book has a predictable plot line with a twist -> the tough guy for the mafia is actually a gal, and she falls in love with the bosses daughter. But it's like the author couldn't decide if she was writing a true crime thriller or a romance. The true crime part was better written. The romance aspect is trite and over-written with some of the worst and most unrealistic descriptions of sex than I have ever seen. Come on--who can get into all these positions? The SnM aspects were also odd and out of place. Do lesbians really talk like that to each other? Strange. I did like a lot of the book, and the ending is way good, but the author could use some help with making the middle part seem real. Tumbleweed Fever was written much better.
Rating: Summary: buy this book!!! Review: This is an excellent book! I loved it. It has a great storyline. It's very erotic. The love scenes are wonderful. Oh! I wish this would be made into a movie. It's just an all-around great book!
Rating: Summary: The Absolute Best Review: This is one of the best lesbian novels I've ever read. I don't make that praise lightly. I've read hundreds of books in this genre and I have much to compare it to. LJ Maas is an extremely gifted writer and this book shows her talent. The story is gripping, exciting, suspenseful and a true page-turner. I found myself unable to put it down and at the same time, I was disappointed as I got closer to the end because I didn't want to be finished with it. I need more of this story and you will too. As soon as I finished this book, I started to reread it - it's that good! What makes it so good? The story is exciting. The characters are compelling. The writing is clean and solid. You won't find sloppy editing or a plot with holes in it. It's a great story - packed with action. The sex is so hot. The emotions are real. The writer knows how to hook the reader and keep her on the edge of her seat.
