Summary: Invisible Life
Review: In order to enjoy this book I think that you clearly have to be ready accept the fact that Harris' main character, Raymond, actually believes he's "bisexual" and not fully gay. I consider myself open-minded but I honestly believe this book lacks originality.

Summary: Extraordinary page turner! A must read!
Review: This book is sensational. I recommend it to anyone and everyone coming to terms with their sexuality or a family members. One if the best books I have ever read.

Summary: A book well written.
Review: This was the first book that I read by this author, and I was simply captivated. Not only does Harris have us constantly turning the page, but he also leaves us full of suspense until the end. I believe that Harris a a spectacular author and I know he won't disappoint other readers. I loved Raymond, and everyone else who was simply wonderful in the book.

Summary: WHAT A GREAT BOOK!!!:)
Review: I just want to say that this book was very good it let people know that gay's aren't only for "entertainment" but that they also have feelings and I think that Harris let people know that in a very ecletic way! I would advise anyone to read this book if they want to know the real deal on a homosexual man's life or shall I say Invisable Life!!!:)

Summary: The best book in History
Review: This author is sensational. He writes as if you know the characters personally. I have read all of his books, and now I am reading his lastest " Abide with me". Please make more sequels to these stories!!

Summary: Trite Trash
Review: The story may have been interesting, but is amateurish at best. It is certainly not enhanced by the terrible junior high school prose: insipid dialogue, cliches, hackneyed characters-- hardly an effort! The plot itself is short of atrocious. I hardly felt any sympathy for the main character, who is a male equivalent of "the other woman" and is selfish and an alcoholic. What's so annoying is that E. Lynn Harris tries his hardest to extract sympathy for him. Then to top it all off, he gives no resolution, leaving an unsatisfyed feeling in the end. Yibbish!

Summary: An insightful look in the mind of the gay and bi community.
Review: This book was on of the most self revealing pieces of literiture I've ever read. It looks into the mind of the hetersexual, bisexual, and gay communities. The primary character find himself as a priciple player in world very different from the one he has been use to. As a result, he explores the life, love, ups and downs of being involved in a lifestyle that due to his bisexualiy must remain his "Invisible Life".

Summary: This is a must read for African Americans...male and female.
Review: Although the topic of homosexuality is still risque in the African American community, but with this book African Americans will be able to see members of their family, work associates, friends, and so forth. This book not only taught me on how I see myself, but my community as a whole. As African American read the "Invisible Life" they can feel the pain of loss and yet hope what many gay African Americans live their day to day lives. Harris has taught many of us that we can be. I commend Harris and his subsequent efforts that taught I can be proud as SGL man in America. Where at times it can be hard being a part of the African American community and foremost a black man in a "white" America who condones both the postion of black men and gay men. So I thank Harris for telling it like it is.

Summary: A must for EVERY female in the WORLD
Review: I read one of the first 5000 copies made at Kinkos when Mr. Harris first published the book about 5 years ago. It took forever for the next 3 to come to print and I am SO glad because the sequels are also GREAT! Some may think that this is unbelievable but, I personally found the series very educational. In fact, I purchased the book as Christmas gifts for about 12 of my single girlfriends. Even if the book isn't true, each of us is more aware of what we could face in relationships with men who choose to hide who they really are! I am a parent of a 10 year old son and when he is ready, I will share the book with him so that he will not experience anything without being aware! I too am waiting for the movie/mini-series etc....!
