Summary: Great Reading!!
Review: I was moved and captured by this book. I'm glad Raymond found true love, and I'm happy for Nicole too. It's too bad Raymond didn't know that his true love was always there in college, but everything has its time and place.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Sorrow, Uplifting and Inspirational
Review: I'm not an avid reader, but after reading "Just As I Am", it was the most inspirational Novel I've read in a long time. Each character felt so real as if they were friends of mine. I felt their agony as well as their conquest. I recommend this book to any one who is confused about their sexuality. This book will allow you to be honest with yourself. It's a great book for all who are not afraid to hear the truth. Thank you E. Lynn Harris for writing such a great master piece. I'm looking forward to reading "Invisible Life".

Summary: Best of the Trilogy
Review: This is best of the three books in the series (this is book II). I am not a black gay man, but these books really made me take pause -- if only for a moment. Very good book (but please read Invisible Life first!).

Summary: I moved to tears and then to laughter
Review: E. Lynn Harris is truely a talented man. While reading "Just As I Am" there were times when I was moved to tears one minute and to side splitting laughter the next. Through out the whole book, I kept saying I know someone just like that (associating the characters to people I know). I was thoroughly impressed with this book as I was with all of Harris' books.

Summary: ADDICTED TO E. LYNN HARRIS!!!!!!!!
Review: This is my second book by Mr. Harris and I must say that I am truly impressed. Just As I Am was the perfect sequel to Invisible Life. I could not put it down! Now that I am done, I am on Amazon. com to buy the third book in Harris's trilogy! I did however get a bit irritated at Nicole's color hang-up. I mean, I can understand her pain of being teased as a child but come on, she's all grown up now and an actress and the winner of numerous beauty pagents. Pleeezze!! It was refreshing in a way to know that Jared was not gay and yet had no qualms about he and Ray's friendship. But still a little part of me wanted him to be with Ray! E.Lynn Harris has really opened my eyes to the gay African-American community. I really enjoy reading his work and I just hope that he can write them as fast I can read them!!!

Summary: Couldn't put it down til the very end!
Review: This was the first book I ever read by E. Lynn Harris and I was buried in it from Chapter One. The characters are very real to life and captivating. All I can say is BUY IT and you will find out for yourself!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I LOVED THIS BOOK ALSO!!!
Review: I didn't think that he could top his first book, but I was wrong. Oh God, I loved this one too! I cried my eyes out when I was reading about Kyle. I mean when he died, I was crying so much I couldn't see the pages. I can't wait to read the next one.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: A good read, BUT...
Review: After reading Invisible Life I couldn't wait to read Just as I am. I enjoyed it, BUT I thought Nicole was unrealistic, way to naive and Jared sounds gay to me. Overall I enjoyed the book and recommend it.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Not what I expected
Review: It was a good book but not quite what I expected.Harris wasted too much time on Nicole. She shoudn't have even been a main charater she had no real purpose in this novel. In my opinion she should have died alone with her friend Candice or in the place of Kyle.Maybe faded out like Kelvin. I was so sick of Nicole.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This was an excellent book.
Review: The book was very well written. I enjoyed the story lines a great deal. The setting was perfect a college atmosphere, where every experience them- seleves to find out who they really are. I think it gave a personal effect to the readers for the people who were going through the same thing. Keep up the great writing.
