Summary: This Gal Has The Balls Of A Brass Monkey!
Review: An extremely entertaining coming-of-age novel about a heroine who lives for herself and takes no prisoners!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Once you start it, you can't put it down!
Review: This book was fantastic.I had to read this book for a womyn's studies class two years ago, and since then I have made it a point to recommend it to any of my friends looking for a good read, gay or not. It is a triumphant story that leaves you with a lot of hope and inspiration to get out there, be yourself, and do something!

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: y'know.. y'can't base quality on subject.
Review: alright, it's modern lesbian fiction, which is good, but i hardly think that it deserves the praise it's been getting JUST because there's a shortage of lesbian authors in america. the story had its moments, but all in all, it was an average, badly written, underdeveloped novel. if you're just looking for a little sexual understanding thru literature, you can find much better elsewhere..

Summary: Loved this book!! Funny, human, moving, personal
Review: While on the phone with a friend I heard her mom in the background laughing out loud. Nobody else was in the room, she was just reading Rubyfruit Jungle. I had to read it and have been in search for a book as funny, streightforward and moving ever since. For me, the moral of this story was embrace what is unique and quirky about yourself. Live life to it's fullest, and laugh while your at it.

Summary: Wonderful!
Review: Great book--but then again, I know what it's like to be a misfit, so I could sorta identify with Molly--which makes my opinion somewhat biased.

Summary: Fuuuuunnnnyyyy!!!!
Review: I read this book years ago. It was so funny to me that I have never forgotten it. I want to read it again. I even went out and read several other Rita Mae Brown novels that were equally funny. Their Titles: Southern Discomfort, Six of One (and its sequal) However, I do not reccommend Venus Envy.

Summary: It was alright.
Review: I read this novel for a women's studies course and even though I admired Molly's strength, she is the only character that you grow to have any feelings for! The language is also quite simple; you would think that the book was written for a child! However, this being my first lesbian novel book as I was coming out to myself, I recommend it to others.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A Great Read!
Review: This was a wonderful book. I really appreciated Molly's honesty. It made me laugh and cry. A great book for everyone and a must for women coming out as lesbians.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I loved this book
Review: I found the girl Molly very bold and straighforward. I loved the way the book was so honest about how things were. They didn't censor things because that is how life really is. People say what is on their mind and this book just showed us that. I would recommend this book to everyone. It made me laugh, cry and made me feel stronger after reading it.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: one of the most beautifully written books I've seen
Review: I must say, I was turned off by this book... it looked trashy from the synopsis on the back cover, and when a person was quoted saying molly was like huck finn, that was it for me, cause I hated huck finn... so I bought it a couple months later, and I can sincerely say it's one of the best books I've ever read... molly's thought processes are so brutally honest, almost like Holden in Catcher in the Rye. She's witty and quick, making me burst out laughing at moments, and then making my stomach turn as I watched what she went through. truely a wonderful book, for any human out there.
