Once you are finished reading the book, you find yourself missing the two main girls. I was absolutely in love with their relationship & thought the author did a wonderful job.

The description of everything made you think that your really there and you can see it in you minds eye. I love the way the main character Samantha and Alexis met and how Carole wrote the story on each of their point of view. Its about Samantha Riley working as a transcriptionist and Alexis Dorian a very wealthy physical theraphist who opened a center for healthcare . Then as fate would have it the company that Samantha works for is involved with Alexis business . The two had an instant chemistry .
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: A bit clunky for me Review: Just finished "Laguna Beach" and it needed a bit of editing. The prose was clunky in too many places, and where dialogue was needed, there was too much exposition. Normal people don't talk like Giorgio's characters speak, and it was a bit disconcerting. The characters' trip to San Francisco was well done, and she did do better job of writing in the sequel, "Sedona Rains." If you're looking for Xena-oriented uber fiction, take a look at Melissa Good's Dar and Kerry series. More believable characters (although the situations are a bit extreme), better dialogue, and a good bit less clunky. Giorgio has promise...she needs a better editor.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Laguna Nights is a must Review: Laguna nights is a great book that keep me reading non stop and I was sad when I finish it. The author has a unique way of discribing a special relationship. I hope she writes other books as good as this one. She has a fan in Brazil.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Has it all !! Review: Laguna Nights is a romance novel that has it all -- characters you care about, a great story line and it is very well written. You'll stay up all night because you can't put it down and won't even care that you're exhausted the next day. If you like Karin Kallmaker, Radclyffe and Melissa Good, you'll love Carole Giorgio.
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Simple story, simple characters, badly written Review: One star for the effort. Just because it is about two women in love and shagging, it does not mean that this book captures every lesbian heart... As some of the readers have noticed, the character development in this book is unsatisfyingly superficial, as is the story itself, as dramatic tension is amateuristically lost in an 'I don't care' feeling. Allthough I don't mind the occasional lesbian quasi-erotic pulp, the writing is just absolutely apalling: - endless and useless descriptions of situations (on the way back in the taxi nothing happened, then why use half a page to tell us that?) -soapy dialogues meant to be sharp and exilirating are brutally axed down by the constant mentioning of names (Yes, Alex / I had a great day, Samantha, etc.) and the continuous interruptions of uninteresting so-called feelings. - pulp-magazine adjectives as 'raven haired beauty', 'smaller woman, the cute small blonde', the green-eyed woman, etc, etc. Lesbians of the world unite to put an end to this kind of amateuristic and tiresome books and demand some quality!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A Book You Won't Forget! Review: Powerful intertwining story of two women from different background, who stumble upon each other at Laguna Beach and soon discover a rich and captivating ancient love exists between them. Carol's excellent writing style has skillfully drawn well developed characters in a romantic tale that is not only touching, but guarantees pure sensuality in every chapter. When it comes to tugging on your heart strings, you'll find this is just the book to do that. It's a story rich in plot and excitement, with characters that will grab your curiosity and keep you with them until the last page. The story line is crisp, filled with varying levels and types of tension, including beautiful love scenes, some jealousy and never eases up on the throttle until the novel is finished. I've now purchased a second copy of this wonderful book as I wore the first one out from reading it.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: I absolutely LOVED it! Review: This book touched me like no other has. I fell in love with the characters from the beginning. It was like they were real. Ms. Giorgio did a wonderful job in describing the characters over time. I loved how nothing was rushed. You weren't told the life history of Alex and Samantha in one breathe; it was drawn out all through the book. I found myself wishing I were at the beach witnessing the beautiful sunsets, too. I would go to sleep dreaming of sunsets. I also thought the Greek Mythology tid-bits were very inviting. Made me remember a time when I studied it. And like Samantha, I too wish for my "pull apart" every night to whoever will listen. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good romance. I look forward to reading the sequel, Sedonya Rain. Not too many authors catch my attention, but Ms. Giorgio certainly has. Of course, her living in my home state has a little bit to do with it. ;o)
