Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Drama! Heartbreak! Intrigue! Review: Can you run away from your past? How far could you go? And what do you do when the past catches up with you? Two women meet and find themselves suddenly faced with answering these exact questions ? as well as others. Which of them is running from their past and why? What is so tragic that they can?t face it? Will a friendship, seemingly against all rules, develop into more? Can they help each other overcome the odds stacked against them to learn to love and trust once again? Love?s Tender Warriors is a terrific story of courageous women, told in the martial arts world where strength of character is just as important as physical strength ? maybe even more so. And that sometimes, physical strength is not enough.

Review: I came across this book by chance and it turned out to be such a great book I am now asking my friends for other Radclyffe books for Christmas. I was initially as interested in the Martial Arts plot as I was in the Lesbian romance plot. I was sure the Martial Arts plot would only be a facade, but it is one that runs throughout the story. Radclyffe expresses a lot of the essence and teachings of Martial Arts in this book and it makes for an almost spiritual understanding of the two characters commitment. The book, however, is not ALL about martial arts. It has a lot of real and believable characters, which is unusual for a romance novel, and any issues that arise in the plot are dealt with fully and sensitively. I found myself being swept up in the emotions of the characters. I was interacting with the characters and at times was not aware that this was a book I was reading; the author faded into the background and the characters came alive. I recommend this book whole heartedly. An excellent book by a very professional writer
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Very well written and sensual Review: I have read a lot of the lesbian romance novels, but found this to one of my favorite!! A great plot, realistic characters and not too sappy. I love this author's style of writing. I am looking forward to reading another novel by Radclyffe.
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Cloying and Done Before Review: I know lots of people who liked this book a lot, but when I finally read it I felt differently. I found Drew to be another one of Rad's tortured dark heroines with post-traumatic stress syndrome (and she's done that before, in nearly every book) while Sean was cloyingly sweet and -- for a therapist -- annoyingly angst-ridden about the slightest little things. I totally agree that Rad's writing just gets better, and there is a lot of sexual heat in the book that was good. It's just I've read this general story before from Rad. PTSS has been done to death.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Hat's Off to Radclyffe Review: I like how Radclyffe blends every day issues that touch so many of our lives into a believable story with real women you feel like you could meet at the store. Not that they are ordinary, but they're *real.* But like others of her books, there is just one note in the core relationship: Drew and Sean are drawn to each other immediately and only one thing separates them. It takes 250 pages to work through the one issue. It's realistically handled but if it weren't for a side plot with Sean's sister, this novel would have been 100 pages. In many ways, the side plot drove the action, not the main plot. Also, while Drew and Sean seem very real, there are a few characters who are just too wise, too calm, too good to be true. It's a small quibble because basically this is an enjoyable solid romance easily worth the time and money. The sex scenes are warming, the dialogue engaging. I totally agree with another reviewer who says this is the work of a professional.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Fabulous read - the characters are fascinating Review: I really loved this book. The main characters are thoroughly fleshed out. By the end of the novel I felt I knew them as well as I do my family. Part of the focus is on the world of martial arts which holds little apeal to me, however the author made even those scenes interesting and appealing. This is a romance but it has several hard hitting moments and you will find you can't put it down.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Great read but...I have one issue... Review: I've recently read the Honor Series by this author. It is refreshing to read well written lesbian novels!
So, I selected this novel to move on to her other works. Not surprisingly, it is not only well written but the characters have depth. My only complaint is a correction that needs to be made to the cover, there are no ex-Marines! Marine veterans, retired Marines but never EX!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Take a chance on Radclyffe! Review: Let's face it, there are a lot of bad books being sold today, and like others I know, I've been burned not realizing I was plunking down a chunk of change for what was essentially a self-published, unedited book. Love's Tender Warriors - like Radclyffe's other books - does not fall into that category! Not only are the characters sharply defined and able to converse in realistic dialog, and not only do they act and do things that make *sense,* this book is a professional's work, and has obviously been professionally edited as well. (Compare this book to Around We Go, which had grammatical faults on nearly every page and missing punctuation - an amateurish mess! Those who love the book say an editor should have caught when "there" was used instead of "their" but I think a writer ought to know the difference!) You can read samples of some of Radclyffe's books here on Amazon and at her website and you'll see for yourself. From now on when I don't recognize a publisher and I can't read a sample somewhere, I'm not going to buy the book. But from now on I'll buy Radclyffe's books, and likely the other books from her publisher. They obviously care about the final product! Love's Tender Warriors was a hot, entertaining, realistic book and a great way to spend my money and time!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Top of the Class Review: Love's Tender Warriors is yet another fantastic lesbian romance novel in a long list from Radclyffe. Always writing engrossing and well written books, Radclyffe time and time again produces the best lesbian romance novels available. If you've only read Love's Tender Warriors in its earlier web version, you are missing almost 1/3 of the book. The complete book is even better, with more scenes, including wonderful love scenes. Don't settle for less than Radclyffe.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Great Characters and excellent plot Review: Not only do you get well developed characters, even with some darkness shown, but you get an excellent plot that will keep you turning the pages to the end. Solid 5 star story, by an excellent writer. You can't go wrong by buying this book.
