Summary: Funny, poignant, and very easy on the eyes.
Review: I picked up the book because Alec Baldwin doesn't love me, either. Now I've found a soul-mate in Michael Thomas Ford. The book touched me in so many ways. I found myself agreeing with most of his take on the world. Finally, I thought, a gay man who doesn't like showtunes and likes Shawn Colvin. The stories are very funny, but each is bittersweet which, to me, is the best kind of humor - more than slapstick, it makes you think.

Summary: Michael Thomas Ford is Hilarious!
Review: I recommend all of his books (That's Mr. Faggot to you etc) - they are very funny, well written and really amusing. I am constantly disappointed by gay humorous books (like Bob smith's lame book) but Mr. Ford never disappoints.Since the chapters are so short it is great for reading on the train or before bed. I can't wait for his next one.

From the very first chapter, "Diary Of A Would-Be Porn Star", where Ford describes a job he once held reviewing porn films, and his hilarious attempts to make his life resemble them, he kept me in stitches with one outrageously funny essay after another, tackling such diverse topics as dating, his aversion to shopping, "The Sound of Music", cybersex, his addiction to Martha Stewart, and of course, Alec Baldwin. Ford's observations are always wickedly funny, and right on target. I can't recommend this book highly enough; it's truly outstanding.

Summary: GWM/ISO Michale Thomas Ford!
Review: Loved from cover-to-cover. Once again I was made to feel that I'm not the only one who thinks like that, does that, and has a thing for Olivia Newton-John! The further in the book I went, the more of a crush I developed on this guy. If I were to sit down now and start my own book of essays, it would be mirrored by the thoughts and experiences of this very talented humorous man. Such a quick read, laugh-out-loud, book to never lend out to others (cause they might keep it themselves! )! Thank you, can't wait to read more...

Summary: All in all a really great and funny book.
Review: Michael Thomas Ford doesn't always hit the mark with me, but when he does he's terrific. He writes with a wonderful sense for the language. I've even read some of his essays aloud to friends just because they make their best effect when heard...and we sat around laughing ourselves sick. A couple of the single essays are in themselves worth the price of the whole book. I recommend it.

Review: Michael Thomas Ford finds humor everywhere, but especially in his sexual orientation, and how different kinds of people respond to it. I laughed constantly while reading his observations on life. Alec Baldwin might not love the author, but how could he not love this book? Review: Michael Thomas Ford's take on gay life are so dead on that the humor is undenibly real. I laughed for days after reading this book. And it is the type of book that you will always remember with a certain fondness for its great humor. I can't wait to read other work by Michael Thomas Ford as well!
