Summary: Patrick Price Surpasses All His Contemporaries
Review: At last, a book on gay relationships that does not insult its audience with advice on tricking and bathhouse ettiquette. At last, a book on gay relationships with a sense of humor. Only Betty Berzon's "Permanent Partners" comes close in the field. Mr. Price writes with a sense of humor that makes us laugh and cringe at our past mistakes. He also writes with a common sense point of view that lets the reader know he is as serious about finding the love of his life as he hopes that reader is. He strongly discourages sex on the first date, he asks the reader to examine himself, and he admonishes anyone so shallow as to make life altering decisions based on an outfit. His writing is extremely readable, looks to the future instead of instant gratification, and is immediately encouraging. Yes, it is somewhat light reading, but there is a heart of gold behind the words and a genuine wealth of knowledge that we know, but seem to constantly ignore when we step outside our front doors

Summary: After reading this book i got more man action than ever b4
Review: before i read this book i was confined to jerking off to chuck norris on those total gym adverts at 3 in the morning. now i'm all man.

l was sitting on the bus, reading this excellent book, when loe and behold the stud of my wet dreams approached me and asked if i'd like to watch him jerk off in his place. sure i said, i'd be delighted.

Summary: Real-life Results!
Review: I bought "Husband Hunting" 2 days ago (after an emotional soiree with an old fling) and it not only made me feel SO much better, but I think it may have changed my life forever! I know what you're thinking, drama queen (a little scary), but HHME provides such a sensibility and really reminded me to keep a level head. I am by no means looking for a husband yet (I'm only 17), but this book will definitely help keep those shady creeps at bay. Full of healthy humor and genuinly good advice, I reccomend it highly to all single gay men!

Summary: Witty, charming and a hell of a lot of fun!
Review: I bought this book a few months ago, skimmed through it and then never really got enough time to read it. Now, I actually have some free time and let me tell you how enjoyable this book is! Patrick Price makes clever and witty jokes that honestly makes me burst into paroxysms of laughter. Some of the tips are so useful that I actually began to highlight them towards the end of the book, and then read the book again to highlight all the great one-liners and tips I had missed. It is to the point and easy reading, which is something I admire in an author. The book offers great tips for any gay man whether you just started searching for the "perfect man" or if you've been searching for quite some time (we all need to be reminded of what we need to look for in a man and why). The book includes such topics as men to avoid, where to find the right date, when you should or shouldn't make your move, how to speak up and ask someone out, couple counseling, and if you're lucky enough the book concludes with tips on the wedding and honeymoon arrangements. The book also includes a chapter on how to improve your appearence and raise your self confidence. I can't say that just because you read this book you'll find "the one", but if it helps you keep Mr. Wrong at bay or maybe makes you just a little more irresistable...then why not? If not for good tips on dating techniques, at least read this book for a number of good laughs! I enjoy this book and I hope that one day I too can put his final chapter to good use.

Summary: Good stuff.
Review: I'd purchased this and "The Priciples" at the same time. "The Priciples" is much smaller, so I read it first, and almost ran screaming back to heterosexuality in fear! (Seriously.) The other book is about trickery, deceipt, and stupidity. Husband Hunting Made Easy, on the other hand is intelligent, well written, sometimes amusing, and seems to be just good advice in general. I haven't found a husband yet, and not really looking too hard just yet, so I can't say HHME works, but it's a fun read with some good advice for the inexperienced gay dater.

Summary: A must-have for every husband-hunter!
Review: Price has written a witty and informative how-to for the modern gay man. And don't worry, there's nothing dryly academic here...the book is wry, occassionally bitchy, and altogether forthright. Filled with fun quizzes, hillarious illustrations & photos, and lots of advice on what to do and who to avoid, it's the perfect handbook for anyone who's ever had a husband or even wanted one!

Summary: Delightfully Entertaining and Informative
Review: Self-help books are usually anathema for me, but this one is a clear exception. Written with uncanny clarity, humor, and seriousness, the book tackles a host of situations and circumstances with a no-nonsense, clear-headed, and right-minded approach. One might quibble with one or two things, but overall, I've not encountered such a refreshing examination of the "gay" lifestyle and its orientation toward making sincere and secure commitments. It's breezy in style, hence there is little condenscension about some more significant issues (esp. when it comes to HIV and all its consequences). Had it attempted to answer every piccadilo, however, it wouldn't be as fun, entertaining, or as overall informative as it turned out to be. This book is an excellent resource for all gay men, offering provocative (and almost always true) observations about being gay (something most of us have not been taught). It is especially provocative and useful for those serious about making commitments.
