Summary: Days of the New brings days of new riffs and techniques
Review: Days of the New started in a garage. They worked out into the world, of course, and now they have their own CD with their own tablature book. Simply being Travis Meeks (lead guitarist for the band) and being able to come up with so much beautiful music and melodies is something to be proud of. But writing out everything that he plays? Wow. The person who figured out what is being played doesn't even know Days of the New personally, he simply listened and wrote. And it's perfect. This book is based solely on guitar tablature notation, making it very simple to read and (yeah right) play. Many chords are also simply numbered out in a vertical line on the tabs. Hence, the uniform layout seems to present itself as a 5-star book. The references to tuning for guitarists on each song even goes as far back as the 3rd or 4th guitar. The only problem is that occasionally on repeats and non-solos, you must figure out what to play and how to play it by looking at the chord charts provided over the notation. Otherwise, it's a beautiful book that can help you to play New for Days.
