Review: I'v played guitar for over thirty years. Always trying to expand my musical creativity side and technique ability. Country guitar always intrigued me, but I never explored it. Gave this book a try, as I'v enjoyed Dave Rubin's magazine columns in the past. The top giants of a years past and modern times are represented. Each artist has one of his signature tunes dissected in transcriptions and discussion. On the CD are the tunes played at normal speed, then at a slower speed. This system works for me as an efficient learning tool. There are some wicked country cats technique wise, and also musically sophisticated that are presented in this book. I recommend this book highly to country pickers and especially to other genre lovers as a quality expansion of their guitar playing ability.
