Review: The text is not very valuable. It presents the material from a condescending perspective leaving the reader with little to work with. The language is too academic to the point of being incomprehensible. There are plenty of other books which are far more valuable and aimed toward an academic audience.

Review: This text came in very handy while writing a paper criticising a telelvision program. The samples critiques are the most helpful, but the book isn't the easist to just browse through...the reading is pretty heavy.
