Rating: Summary: Wonderful, Whimsical, and... Useful in an Unanticipated Way Review: I loved WIG when I first got it for my nephew, who was then three years old. I thought it was wonderful and whimsical and fabulously offbeat. He toted it around happily for a year, until it was largely shredded. When he outgrew it, I snatched it back for my own collection. I never imagined what I would later do with it. Three years ago, a close friend was diagnosed with breast cancer; sadly, she had two young children. Chemo quickly knocked out all of her hair and she got a wig. I visited them and brought this marvelous book. Her children adored it instantly! It demystified her wig, which had scared them, and it converted wig-dom into a funky shared adventure. A second friend -- with a two-year old -- was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and, likewise, lost her hair and bought a wig. I rushed a copy of WIG to them. Magic! This child also adores the book and asks to have it read again and again. Her mothers' wig is now a source of shared pleasure, instead of an unwanted intrusion. WIG can't take the cancer away, but it surely cheers little ones who find themselves living this bad dream. May this book have a long life, for those in sickness and in health!
Rating: Summary: It's Wig-a-riffic! Review: My 2-year-old loves this book and can recite many of the pages from memory. I wonder if we're warping her little mind or if future pre-school teachers will wonder why "bouffant" is part of her vocabulary, but figure it will all turn out for the best.

Rating: Summary: Incredibly fun and creative! Review: Our two year old loves Wig, he asks for it by name, often. It has no definite story line, so is readily adaptable, but has wild and distinguishing illustrations which has made it easy for him to learn. It is the first book in which he can tell the whole story, every page. Plus, it's way cool.
Rating: Summary: Cute and Funny! Review: This is a great book for boys and girls AND adults! If youre a B-52's fan and you have a kid, you MUST get this book - its a real scream! The illustrations are TOO FUNNY!
