Summary: mj rocks this world!
Review: Every day Michael Jackson is faced by judging, lying press & paparazzi. In my eyes he's a thoughtful, kind, inspiring person who is serving life for the unforgivable crime of being different. I'm a giant fan, and seeing this book makes me feel sick. The National Enquirer? Down there with the Sun and the News Of The World: would sell their soul just to get a story sold. If you want a half decent read, try his autobiography instead.

Summary: The man who wrote thi is insane
Review: How can you writ a book aout someone you don't know? This book is a load of crap.

Summary: Save your money and your time and stay away from this book.
Review: I am not a Michael Jackson fan nor do I think I ever was. Rather I have admired his immense musical talent and creativity. I also find his personal life and eccentricities very interesting. It seems to me that Michael Jackson is multifaceted and not one-dimensional like many celebrities. So I thought I'd pick up this book and perhaps learn a little more about him?

"Freak!" is a very mean-spirited book written by the National Enquirer. I never try to judge a book by the cover, however in this instance I should have. The entire book is written with such venom and hate and malice. It seems as if the writer is taking great pleasure in spewing rumors, second-hand gossip and complete lies about Michael Jackson. Why is that?

The entire book is centered on a supposed 2002 book proposal that Michael Jackson conducted regarding a children's book. It starts and ends with this premise and reminds the reader that no publisher in his or her right mind would be interested in publishing a book by "Wacko Jacko."

"Freak!" basically discusses the child molestation allegations of 1993 in great detail. It is the opinion of this author/The National Enquirer that Michael Jackson is a "freak" whom's life changed dramatically when these allegations surfaced. And it goes on to state that Michael Jackson conducted an elaborate publicity scheme (marrying the King's daughter) only to clear his name within the jury of public opinion.

This book even has the audaciousness to imply that Michael Jackson didn't naturally father his children based on "reports." What reports?? And by the way, who are these "insiders" and "family friends" that the book mentions? Why aren't there any names?

As stated, there isn't any interviews or research conducted. The entire book is just regurgitated gossip that has been promulgated within the pages of the National Enquirer for years. They even have the nerve to reference La Toya Jackson's book and quotes she made about her brother more than 10 years ago to the effect that he was a molester. The author of this book didn't bother to mention that La Toya recanted her statements about Michael Jackson years ago.

The book also attacks Michael Jackson personally (his physical appearance and his mental state). The author wants the reader to believe that Michael Jackson is delusional and "clinically depressed." But there aren't any facts to back up these salacious claims.

If you're fascinated with the life of Michael Jackson and are searching for the truth then this book is not for you. Save your money and your time and stay away from this book.

Summary: Who're Calling A Freak??
Review: It is very disturbing to think that someone out there could have enjoyed this read. But then again, we have all kinds of different people who allow themselves to be stuffed with all kinds of different stories and fabrications without even questioning them. Those are the people who refuse to think for themselves because it's a lot easier to let somebody else do it for them. And as it is in this case, the "somebody else" is the media. Humans have an interesting feature called the mind. Use it! And don't let the media make conclusions for you; don't let them turn you into fools!

Michael Jackson gave up his childhood; he gave up his life so we could be entertained. Anyone who's entertained with this kind of literature, however, is obviously not capable of reaching below the surface and understanding more important and meaningful things in life. It's easy for us to stick a label upon someone else's forehead. That doesn't mean we don't have one...

Summary: This book is TERRIBLE !!!!!!
Review: It's full of useless and false information and it was published simple for money making purposes. It was created to try and destroy someone who has cleary achieved more than the author.

Summary: A VERY POOR EXCUSE FOR A BOOK
Review: Please don't bother with this pile of trash. The world is full of tabloid rubbish and this book just adds to that pile.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Kind of repetitive
Review: The book has a lot of good points and makes the reader wonder why Michael Jackson wanders the free world. It borrows heavily from Michael Jackson-Unauthorized. It keeps repeating the fact that he didn't have a pleasant upbringing and he is trying to relive his childhood. I think most of us knew that; fan or non fan. I am not a fan but believe he is talented and puts on a good show for his fans. I do not believe that MJ should be free to keep up the sick type behavior he seems to revel in. Why does anyone that gets into his inner circle need to sign confidentiality agreements? I think the answer is pretty obvious. I hope the guy gets help and I think his career is pretty well over. He gets caught up in a lot of lies too, which are pretty obvious, i.e. plastic surgery. He likes to put his spin on things to build himself up but the sad thing is that he is spinning out of control.

Review: The caption saying "From The Files of the National Enquierer" says it all!

Summary: Very Informative
Review: There are a lot of Michael Jackson fans who are not going to like this book, but for those of us who are not blinded by celebrity this is worth reading. Whatever you feel about Jackson, this book is proof that he has lived a bizarre life, that he is not the man he appears to be in front of his fans and TV cameras. I found this book very interesting because it reveals the man behind the carefully crafted Hollywood image and it's not always a pretty picture.

Summary: Excellent read
Review: This is an excellent and fascinating book. With Jackson's trial about to start I couldn't resist picking this up and I wasn't disappointed. Even if you think you know everything about Michael Jackson and his career this book will provide you with new information. There's so much I had forgotten and so much I didn't know and it was all here in a very well written format. I highly recommend it.
