Bob even devotes one small chapter to those who have "gone home". This is a must for your library if you want to know anything about Southern Gospel music

Organized in easy to follow chapters, this book is written in clear concise language. The only deficit is Terrell's lack of documentation. Better citation would make this book a five star selection.

Review: This book is about white gospel singing groups. The roots for Professional Gospel Quartet Singing is with Black Gospel Quartets/Groups. The book has errors but in general is good information. Mr. Terrell needs to define the term "Southern Gospel Music." I gave it a 3 star because it lacked details and dates. Other than a few words about CANAAN there is absolutely no mention of artists and recording companies in other parts of the Midwest and on the Westcoast and their contribution.
