Summary: The tour de force of the gamebook genre
Review: As part one of the Sorcery series, this book starts slowly, but grows in stature by the end. Published initially as a boxed set with the Spell Book (which was to be required for all the successive books) but later all books were republished with the spells in the back. A copy of the original set is very rare

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: it's been years.
Review: i do recall it being a very fun read, however - lone wolfish, but with a bit more class, a bit more taste. i'd like to get my hands on a copy again; mine has long since been lost.

Summary: Best Fantasy Role-playing Game Book Series
Review: This is the first of four books from what was, in my opinion, the best fantasy role-playing game book series of the 1980s, by Steve Jackson (the one from the U.K.). As of May, 2004 these books are not available from Amazon U.S., but you can find them on the Amazon Canada web site as a newly republished boxed set. Let's hope they make it to the U.S. side soon. The adventures in each book are detailed with interesting characters, plot twists, and puzzles. Well worth the time of any fan of fantasy role-playing or "Choose Your Own Adventure" type books.
