Summary: A Half of Fame about Chess Classic Problems Composers
Review: Don't forget the history ... learn it and you will have more experience from it. This book is designed to interest any chess enthusiast in chess problems. With 155 problems, a selection of composer by a few of the most outstanding problemist of the past such as: Loyd, Klett, Shinkman, Havel, Wurzburg, Kohtz, Kockelkorn, Heathcote and many more. And also special types of problems like the black interference theme: PLACHURTA INTERFERENCE, the white: PROTAGONISTS and other theme you can enjoy it. Starting with problem from Bonus Socius Manuscript Circa in 1266, you will go ahead to the future until the 19's. All of problems have a solution in the ending of the book.

Review: This book is a great introduction to the many talented American composers of the turn of the century. In a style that is easy to read and understand, this book presents a well researched portrait of the main chess problem composers born or living in America. A good introduction to the art of chess problem composing and solving.
