Summary: Excellent! The most comprehensive book of its kind.
Review: Newby did a wonderful job in assembling his collection of competitive and solitary word games. This is the biggest book I've ever seen on the topic. Anyone interested in wordplay would have fun seeing all the twists and turns the English language takes in these games, many of which go far beyond Scrabble in their strategies. Fun, and a great reference to boot.
