Rating: Summary: Tasty Tarot.... Review: The Epicurean Tarot is a witty, delicious trip through the 78 cards of the tarot deck. Each recipe card has a picture of a tarot card (using images from the Universal Waite deck) and a recipe that relates to the card. I found the deck to be very funny and light hearted.... and full of fun, simple recipes. Tonight I am making midnight marinated chicken (The Star card). The deck itself is divided into 5 sections... the trumps and the four suits. The recipes for the suits relate well. For example, most of the Wands are spicy, since the suit is related to the element of fire. Cups, relating to water, have lots of seafood recipes. The swords include a kebab and other slice and dice foods. And pentacles have round things, along with earthy homestyle fare. I was happy to find that the cards are very large and plastic coated to withstand flying ingredients in the kitchen. I also like their display box. I was able to slide a card up far enough to read, but still have it in the box, in it's spot, so it'll be easy to find next time. My only complaint is that there isn't an index of the recipes, so to find one you have to either flip through the booklet or go through the cards. Since they are catagorized by suit, though, this isn't too big a problem. All in all, the deck is great fun. It is a welcome addition to my kitchen. And I can't wait to make the lobster bisque! (The Moon, of course!)

Rating: Summary: Tasty Tarot.... Review: The perfect gift for any Kitchen Witch! This is a fully functioning tarot deck with recipes that somehow relate to the card being represented. The deck is oversized so the cards are rather large. I only rated this deck three stars for what one of the other reviewers touched on......the recipes. (Not the most creative or scrumptious dishes to come across your palate!) The size was also important to me....I tend to dislike oversized cards as I find them difficult to divine with, but they are the perfect size for recipes......I guess you can't have it all! Overall, still a great gift and I recommend it.
Rating: Summary: SO-SO Review: This is a set of rectangular tarot cards with recipes on them that sort of relate to the particular card. A cute idea but (in my opinion) the recipes aren't that great. Too bad I couldn't have checked the recipes before I bought the set.
