Summary: a really beautiful read
Review: I recently bought this book, (I am very much a Lilith Fan) and thought it was a great read. It's very poetic in its progression, it really draws you in. I got to know a lot about the fair and about women in history. My only complaint is that I wish there was an update with the last fair included.

Summary: Plenty
Review: Sarah Mclachlan is a godesss, you should really read her book and enjoy every minute of it. The food isn't bad either. The best part of it though is the beautiful pictures of Sarah.

Enjoy!

Summary: A Real Gem!
Review: This book is a gem. It's positive without being sycophantic, intelligent without being dry, and educational without seeming didactic. Author Buffy Childerhose walks the fine line between maintaining an objective perspective and having obvious insider knowledge with the grace of a person truly confident in her craft. If you're looking for tabloid journalism, you won't find it here. If you're looking for an interesting story about one of the most important events in pop music history, I highly recommend From Lilith to Lilith Fair.

Summary: Lilith
Review: This book starts out with a very good, thoughtful introduction by Sarah McLachlan. The rest of it is a sort of lengthy essay by her friend Buffy about Lilith Fair and the music industry, with profiles about historically renowned women and the performers at the first Lilith Fair. It isn't an in depth study, but it is pleasant to look at, the pictures are nice, and it is a book to keep and occasionally re-read.

Summary: More like a tour book
Review: This book was more like a tour book than anything, which is not neccessarily bad. It kind of brough me back to all three liliths that i went to with it's color photos (lilith did not have a tour book). I found the biographies somewhat interesting, but it didn't really cross either line: it is not a tour book and it is not a book book, which was a little schizophrenic :( I wish that it was either one or the other. However, in it's entireity, it is a nice tribute to lilith and the women behind the tour and the women that influenced the tour
