Rating: Summary: Entertaining and thoughtful Review: This book is a collection of short stories. When I began reading this book, I immediately read five or six stories. Later, I realized it was better to read one story at a time, and take time to reflect on its meaning and purpose. I very much enjoyed reading this book, both for entertainment, and for the history and enhanced understanding of Chinese culture. I always thought that American and Chinese cultures were very different, and yet many of these stories deal with themes that are common in English literature. Mr. Ma's command of the English language is amazing. I very much enjoyed this book.

Rating: Summary: A book for every ghost-story lover! Review: This is a very well written book, stays true to the original classic, Liau Tsai. The author has managed to not only translate the language, but also maintained the integrity of the Classic. Kudos to Mr. Ma!
