Rating: Summary: Audioslave - A Self Portrait By Four Contemporery Artists Review: I happened upon Audioslave by good luck.Once again I found something that I believed in and I wanted to share it with others. The first time I heard the music of John Lennon or Led Zeppelin I was really too young or perhaps too inexperienced to know what it would lead to. After all like most musicians and artists that you meet these days;my mind had already been expanded to the propinquitousness and the rapid change,of these times. It inspires one's curiousity if you think you are learning again;or even trying to understand something,..if your thinking process is not mulled over by the days events. You can see clearly and you want to start something new. Therefore this group, which seemed to say all of those words in one sentence, could only last for a short time.(Let's say the event called Audioslave was predicted somehow, like an eclipse,a comet,or a falling star.)If anybody stops you and tries to explain the significance of Audioslave,it's songs or a part of it's mission- try and remind them that it was the original intention of Audioslave to try and do so themselves. So like any real catharsis,we saw the helpful side or attitude of these guys, remonstrated through their music and together attitudes. It was helpful,to see, what they did,or tried to do. Especially Chris Cornell who delibrately 'revealed'..himself again as an artist, which he has done before from time to time..an explanation at the heart of the matter. It wasn't just about girls,or sex,or rock,or the way people choose to live. He was intent on giving you something, like a gift and he really did to- in order remind us- i guess- that the gift is in the giving. He gave it to you;they all did.(I mean the other members of the band.)A really fine extrapolation and the quintessence of what lies ahead.mfd
