Review: To truely enjoy the blues one must listen to it live, unfortunately, many of the legends of the blues have long since gone. This photo documentary helps the blues enthusiast to put faces to names and also provide an accurate history of this timeless form of music. This book depicts hard times and times of joy and celebration. The collection of photos is quite extensive and for those of us who enjoy viewing old black and whites, this book is a must have. Old time blues admirers can re-live their past experiences with these truely great men and women or new blues enthusiasts can learn more about those artists who were instrumental in creating the form of music from which Rock and Roll, Country and most modern forms are derived from. This collection really brings the blues to life.
