Review: This is the most thorough metal read ever created. The book is only based on one type of metal, the extreme metal form known as Thrash. Yet the book is 450 pages and never misses anything on any of the bands, even those of the utmost obscurity. It has massive sections dedicated to the Big four of thrash: Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax and Slayer. The only problem is that for some readers it may be a little to dry and possibly boring, but not for a true metal affianado. The CD that accompanies this book is superb, it's worth buy this book simply for the live version of Piranha by Exodus on the CD.
