Rating: Summary: Sadly True - Hilariously True Review: Dr. Crement has given us non-assholes (to ourselves at least) the opportunity to give a book to someone who really deserves it.Written as a Twelve Step Program, the book is an ideal gift to those with whom you work, for whom you work, or just your neighbor who occasionally shows you the assholiness within him. I have read and re-read this book and have given away at least 8 to 10 copies to those who I deemed deserving of it, hoping it would send them up the road to recovery. Highly recommended for both reading and for giving.
Rating: Summary: A Book You Must Put Down Every Few Pages - to recover... Review: If you've ever read a book so good that you "just can't put it down," this isn't one of those. You must put it down every few pages to stop the pain from laughing so much. Don't miss reading the cover sheets and introduction either. This book is funny from the front cover to the back.
Rating: Summary: For all naive trusting types, this book is educational Review: It's not you! It's them! I was given one copy, read it, then bought 3 to pass along to friends in need of education. Enlighting book.
Rating: Summary: one trick pony Review: The chapters on religion and litigation are right on the money. Unfortunately the book is a one joke affair which eventually becomes too repetitive.
Rating: Summary: Direct, crass, funny, and hits the nail on the head Review: This is a must read for anyone who has ever worked for, lived with, or encountered a**holes in all their numerous iterations (and they are everywhere). For those who still harbor the hope that a**holes will change their behavior and become human beings, Dr. X. Crement rapidly makes these dreamers understand the futility of this desire. Not only does Dr. X. identify they types of a**holes, he offers excellent suggestions in how to deal with or, better yet, escape from them. This book is the perfect gift for someone who is in the throes of trying to get out of a relationship with an a**hole of either sex, be it personal or professional. Highly recommended!
Rating: Summary: one trick pony Review: This parody on self-help books is well written and very funny. It's observations are frighteningly accurate and the author's advice is useful. Considering how common Assholism is in America I'm surprised this book is not a National Bestseller.
